Re: Just Curious
Sorry I meant bad for the last YEARS not year. Hall and Haynesworth have actulaly been great lol, Haynesworth was statisically our best defensive player. Hall had 4 interceptions which helped us rank 10th in defense and not 29th like the so called "better chance rams". We gave up 4 more sacks was it? Oh but wait we have a quarterback that finished 15th and not 24th.
Your only point that made the least bit of sense is about Portis. Portis is a has been RB, and don't cry too hard when you're only positive spot in S Jackson happens to start running less and less and showing less and less explosiveness.
But maybe you can worry about that and get the top RB in next years draft at No. 1 overall because you have been in the top 2 for the last three years so that's almost on lock.
Again I have nothing but respect to you guys for being loyal to your team, but have an open mind and atleast realize that you're team is downright horrible.

Re: Just Curious
The Redskins are an improving team...
Well, except for their QB who apparently needs to be replaced...
And except for their O line, which needs a replacement for their long-time anchor, Chris Samuels.
And except for their receiving corps, which didn't produce very well, and has a TE coming off a major injury.
And except for their D line, which is anchored by a guy who does not want to play in a 3-4.
And except for their DBs, who are lead by a FS who should be playing SS.
Yeah, the Redskins are on the verge of greatness. Clearly, that's where Sam Bradford would prefer to go.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Just Curious
Actually we released 10 veterans this offseason and cut around 30million in dead money. So no the veteran players past their prime won't work. In fact find one of them for me other than Portis and Larry Johnson and we'll have a better arguement here.
Also it's one thing to have kept your draft picks, but another to have nothing to show for them. As of right now you have one in James Laurinaitis, but wait we drafted this guy named Brian Orakpo.. You may have saw him at the Pro Bowl?

Re: Just Curious
Do not forget that Haynesworth only plays a little over 60% of plays. He gets taken off in a stretcher and then a few plays later his fat azzz is back in the game.
Hall is a running back dream come true cornerback. He will do anything and everything to avoid contact. More wasted money your so called great owner spends on flawed talent.

Re: Just Curious
1. When we get Bradford or Clausen that will be solved. But as of now we have the 15th ranked QB and not 29th, so we win on that arguement.
2. After Bradford/Clausen and if the Lions don't take Okung, we will have solved that issue as well. If not in the first in the 2/4/5/6th rounds.
3. We have Santana Moss who has more value then all your receivers together. Malcolm Kelly you may know him from when him and Bradford played in 07 together. Devin Thomas who's another 2nd round pick out of Michigan who will get the chance to play for the released Randel El. Cooley and Davis is probably one of the top TE duos in the league, and players get injured nothing you can do about it.
4. Haynesworth doesn't want to play NT you're right, but he has said he would play 3-4 DE and we signed Ma'ake Kemoeatu from the Panthers to fill that problem when he's recovered from his Achilles injury.
5. Rogers, Hall, Landry, Doughty/Horton are the DB's. Hall and Rogers are both very good corners and helped us get to 10th overall in defense. Laron Landry is a natural SS and you're right with that, but atleast we still put up good defensive stats to show for something.
We also happened to get this former superbowl winning coach named Mike Shanahan. The second best win to loss record in the NFL next to Belichick. Oh and with him came his son Kyle who co-ordinated the best passing attack in the NFL last year with the Texans. So yeah you could say we're on the verge of greatness. Oh and for Sam Bradford well we'll see what happens but remember that we have much more to offer to a young QB than the worst team in the NFL.

Re: Just Curious
15th Rank sounds OK until you realize its Campbell. How many playoff games has this QB won. Is he a probowler? How many times has he thrown over 3K in a year? Bulger had a difficult season last year but if you want to compare resumes I believe Bulger deserves more respect cause he has paid his dues and won in the post season.

Re: Just Curious
We added:
Larry Johnson
Ma'ake Kemoeatu
Philip Buchanon
Rex Grossman
Artist Hicks
We cut:
Rock Cartwright
Randel El
Randy Thomas
Fred Smoot
Ladell Betts
Cornelious Griffin
This is all coming off the top of my head so I could have missed a few players, but after all this we cleared 30m. So look at it however you'd like, but it's a huge improvement.

Re: Just Curious
Lol Hey if you want to base teams off of the past. Then the Redskins just won by a mile. One of the best historys in the NFL along with the Steelers, Dolphins, etc.
Another thing Campbell is apparently better than Bulger because there was talk that the Rams wanted him as their started earlier in the offseason. So what does that say about better resumes?

Re: Just Curious
You want to go Rumors then what about skins radio claiming that the Skins wanted Bulger?
The Skins only win championships when the season is shorten by a strike. That is the only time the Skins have achieved greatness IMO. So you Skins fan should really be praying for a strike next year.....
Best history of the NFL? Who is living in the past. If you want to look at more recent history the Rams have accomplished more. At least when we won it was a full season.
