    Justin Fargas

With the Bradford/Suh flood going on in both Ram Talk and the Draft/FA section, I just found out that Justin Fargas was released by the Raiders, what are your thoughts on getting him as a quick fix to get some weight off Action Jackson?

    Re: Justin Fargas

    Absolutely!

Fargas was a big player for my Fantasy team a few years ago when he topped a thousand yards. The year after, the Raiders drafted McFadden and their plan to employ a platoon at RB didn't necessarily come to include Fargas.

He's little and he's shifty; in my opinion the Yin to Jackson's Yang. I haven't heard much of him in the last few years and if he's been injured that might change my opinion, but if he's relatively healthy and still relatively young he'd definitely be worth pursuing.

EDIT: Fargas is thirty years old and apparently was released because he failed his physical in Oakland. Although he's contensting this, I'd approach with more caution now.

This from the National Football Post.
The Oakland Raiders announced on their official Web site that running back Justin Fargas flunked his physical.

Fargas has countered that by saying he's actually healthy.

The Raiders did say something nice about the former USC running back.

"Justin Fargas was a beloved Raider who performed at a high level throughout his seven seasons with the team and his contributions to the Silver and Black will always be remembered," the Raiders said in a statement. "We wish Justin all the best."

Apparently, a couple of teams have looked at him but nothing has happened because of his injury

No backs who are older than Jackson thank you, next!
