Karraker: Rams downgrading Dorsey

According to Randy Karraker as posted on another Rams message board, concerns about Dorsey's leg injury have caused the Rams to downgrade him.

My own impression of this news leads me to believe the Rams either had a team doctor checking him out at the combine or have seen the combine medical results. I would think it's highly unlikely that the Rams would alter their draft grades based on unconfirmed word of mouth.

I would've been upset if they drafted Dorsey. I'm glad that we're not going after him. I really am.

Karraker did not elaborate in his post about who told him or how, and as always, it's impossible to completely confirm a team's intentions or thoughts about the draft. But there are any number of ways Karraker could have arrived at this conclusion without the Rams specifically sharing it.

Bingo !! That is the exact thought that came to my mind when I read the thread title. If we are open to trading down a notch or two we should be giving love to everyone .. with the possible exception of who we really want.

The pre-draft circus is a like house of mirrors. You don't know for sure what is real and what is not. I guess that's what makes it so interesting!

So it was the RAMS doctors who leaked concern at the combine! No one will ever know what's real and what's fake in the pre-draft hype. If we trade down and pick him, then this was probably smoke screen, if we trade and don't pick him and he's available, probably true. I don't think he was a serious consideration to begin with, but you never know.

The draft has more conspiracies than the JFK trial. I heard the other day Ellis has major medical issues also.
