Re: Keep an eye on this Husker

Yeah, Huff's the top dog at the safety position.

I really want the Rams to draft a LB and a DB in the first two rounds. Some combos I like (some of which may be wishful thinking, I know):

    Huff/T.Howard
    Huff/A.Hodge
    J.Williams/T.Howard
    J.Williams/A.Hodge
    Greenway/Bullocks
    Greenway/K.Jennings
    Ryans/Bullocks
    Ryans/Jennings

You're right of course, because interceptions are the key factor in determining who is the better player. I mean, when I look at safeties in the NFL, I'd much rather have Mike Furrey than I would Mike Brown because Furrey had more interceptions. :drunk:

I wouldn't get too excited about Daniel Bullocks. He doesn't seem like second-round material to me, and his 40-time surprised me because he's never come off as a blazer on the field, but to his credit was around the ball a lot. Another Husker DB last year, Fabian Washington, blew away Al Davis with his 40-time enough to get taken in the first round, when he was really second- or third-round material at best and his [non] impact this last season reflects that. Josh was the better of the twins, and Daniel might be a starter given a few years, but he's not the type you can count on to jump in right away and make a big difference.

I'd like to know why people say he is a big hitter? I've never seen him make a big hit.

Because they've seen him make big hits? I've seen multiple examples of him making pretty big hits, though it's not the focal point of his game like it is for guys like Dwayne Slay. Huff isn't a huge hitter ala Roy Williams, but he's a better all around player and that includes being able to knock someone around when necessary.

Still don't think so. I saw him get owned in the National Championship by LenDale White.

LOL If you watched the NC game, then you also saw him make a great tackle on LenDale White after being stiff armed and also bringing down Dom Byrd in the open field. This guy regularly makes tough tackles and gives great effort to bring a player down. But it seems pretty clear your mind is already made up about Huff, though I'm not even sure what exactly you base your opinion on, so there's not much point in trying to convince you otherwise.

The flip-side, of course, being that Huff's coverage skills make Williams look like a lineman.

Re: Keep an eye on this Husker

Nick, theres no need to justify michael huff as our number one pick. his resume is all on tape and at the combine. RF16 will never change his mind on huff and no one knows why since the best reason he can come up with is that safety is not one of top issues LOL. he says he doesn't want huff, as a matter of fact no one knows what he wants since he seems to hype up a different player every week.

Its because I don't want him/overrated. Thats my opinion and you guy scan stay as high as you want on him. Because I'm going to stay this low on him.

I just wish you'd come up with a reason for it that makes sense.
