Kipper has jamaal anderson as 5th on his big board, ahead of branch (7), gaines adams (9), leon hall (10). In short, the best defensive player in the draft. fyi, he has calvin johnson, thomas, quinn and russell as the only guys ahead of anderson.

He appears in the top ten on two other draft sites I frequent. There's a lot of talk at this point that Anderson might not make it out of the top ten, with possible destinations being Washington, Minnesota, or Atlanta.

If he goes that high then all the better chances that Branch or Adams falls to the Rams.

Not necessarily. I have Adams going @ 2 to the Lions, Branch going @ 6 to the Redskins, and Anderson going @ 10 to the Falcons right now.

i agree with nick, none of the three stud defenders are going to make it to us at 13, but i will tell you who just might, and that is the #1 corner in the draft, leon hall and the #1 safety, leron landry. Nick et al, would you draft another corner? I dont think corner is a need for us, but it might be hard to resist. As for landry, i think he is a terrific guy and more of a long term need than a corner.

I see Gaines Adams falling to us. I see him being overtaken by Jamaal Anderson and Charles Johnson and be the 3rd DE taken.

I am not sure I would take him. He is undersize for a DE. 6'5 260.
Watching a few games, I see he is a liability against the run.

He looks like a one dimensional pass rusher and does not look like he has many pass rush moves. He might get exposed in the NFL.

I would still take him over Quentin Moses. I am not sure I would take him over Charles Johnson.

I see alot of potential in Adams but I am not sure he would put it all together in the NFL.

1. Branch
2. Anderson
3. Adams
4. Nelson
5. Landry

If we land any of those at 5 I feel that we are getting value at that pick.

He might get overtaken by Anderson after workouts, but I would be pretty surprised if he got passed up by Johnson as well, as Johnson probably ranks as the fourth or fifth best DE prospect in this class right now.
