    Lance Johnson.......

Signed a 3 yr 10M contract. Sounds real affordable to me. Why isn't he a Ram? Didn't they need a OLB even with Will, Pisa (Mr Injury) and Draft.

Excuse me while I stomp off.

Did I mention he was only 26.

I'm assuming you mean Landon Johnson and I agree with you. Why we didnt try to get him is beyond me. I guess Anthony Becht was a bigger need (sarcasm). 3 years around 10 mil is very affordable. I mean didnt we clear up cap space releasing Bruce and Hall?

    1. Atogwe needs to be signed.
    2. Jackson needs an extension.
    3. We signed Bell.
    4. We need to sign the rookies.

Yeah, we have some cap space even after these things take/took place, but OLB is somewhere below DE, OT, S, CB, and WR. on the needs chart. We already have a lot of money sunk in the LB position with Pisa (bad contract), Witherspoon (money well spent), and Draft (reasonable price, but not free).

I just can't get upset about not getting this guy for these reasons.

Chiguy, I agree completely, however, this is matter of ensuring we have enough depth to get through a season, as well as at least keeping the level of quality constant between last year and this year. Chillar is still available, and would probably come cheaper now, but Johnson was one of the few good players in Cinci's defense last year and I thought would be a fair pickup for us.
