    Larry Johnson released

What do you guys think? Is he worth picking up? We don't really have any better options in my opinion.

We should pick him up just for the intel he could give us on the Redskins.

No way. Bad attitude, skill level clearly isn't very high anymore. He had the people of Kansas City petitioning the team for his release before he became the all-time leader in rushing yards for the franchise. Yea, sign me up...not.

If he was worth much, why would the Redskins release him? He just lost the backup job to an undrafted rookie, why is he better than ours?

Larry Johnson is DONE. He was waived by the Chiefs after acting like a complete idiot, the Bengals had no use for him, and now the Redskins want nothing to do with him. Is there a pattern here? He's done nothing since 2006 except have tweeting wars with fans and beat up women.

I'd be absolutely shocked if the Rams even look at Johnson.

The Redskins running game is poor. Really poor.

And if he can't even stay on the roster there, well then...

    Thanks, but no thanks.

How much is intel on Washington worth? Maybe we could sign him as an assistant coach... Asst. Coach for winning against the Redskins?
    I believe!

I think those of us who brought up the intel issue, did so in over the top facetiousness. I doubt Larry Johnson was given anything worth while, and if he was, I doubt very seriously he could remember it.

Dude, the Chiefs cut him for Jamaal Charles. He is slow, washed up, head case. Did you see his YPC in Kansas City? It was like 2.5 yards a carry and Charles then came in the last 5 games on the season and tore it up.

It wasn't the KC OLine! It is Larry Johnson! Total garbage.

    Re: Larry Johnson released.

Well... before you write him off, I can tell you as a Skins fan that he just didn't fit our scheme. I have no idea if you guys run a power game, but if so, it wouldn't be as crazy as it sounds.

He had a fantastic training camp and showed a great work ethic. Maybe it was because he grew up attending Redskins games with his dad. He would finish every play by running the entire 100 yards to get himself into game shape. We had lots of hopes for him this season.

But when the lights came on, LJ didn't. But remember, our running game has been pathetic. More than likely, it has to do with the OL changes than our backs. But to everyone's disappointment, he has showed no explosion whatsoever.

As for recon... good luck. I'm not saying it wouldn't look savvy. But yesterday was a day off and gameplanning only began today. The cut was made when it was for a reason.

We've had the Cowboys and Texans to worry about these last couple weeks...
