Byron Leftwitch is a free agent next season..I dont know if someone else has brought this up already but with our needs at some new blood behind Bulger, and considering we had a legitimate shot at a young backup of his "caliber", would you guys think he'd be a good backup, possibly turned starter to have on the team??..

Absolutely. I'd give him a shot at least. I don't think he was given a fair chance where he started.

Well .. at least Leftwich would offer versatility .. if he gains any more weight maybe he could spell Jacob Bell. To answer your question, I don't think we've got the money to bring him here given our other needs. We need to find a starting caliber center in FA. Jason Brown would be a great fit IMO, if we're gonna pay someone big bucks.

Leftwich is the top FA QB available in Cassell gets Franchised, so i'd rather not spend that type of dough on him. I'd rather use the money on defense or the O-line.

I certainly wouldn't advocate breaking the bank for him, but I think if you can get him without doing so that you should certainly consider it.

I'm gonna have to pass. He is too injury prone to ever be a true starter, and will probably cost too much to bring in as a back up.

Absolutely, definitely not a guy im crazy about but considering our back-up and talks of Bulger just losing it I think he'd be worth taking a look at..
