Let's sign Culpepper!
Because this guy says so. http://nfl.com/news/story/10217364
4. St. Louis Rams -- Again, it might not appear to be the perfect fit, but one has to take into consideration the often shaky injury status of starting quarterback Marc Bulger. Culpepper's best season came while playing under current Rams head coach Scott Linehan in Minnesota, and the appeal of getting to work with St. Louis' arsenal of weapons (Steven Jackson, Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce, etc.) has to be strong. The Rams could use him, given Bulger's injury history and the team's current backup situation (Gus Frerotte and Ryan Fitzpatrick).
We should get Culpepper, because he's so much less injury prone with Bulger, seeing how he's played all 32 games in the last 2 years. And put up an impressive TD to INT ratio in those 32 starts. And it's not like Bulger didn't have the best year of his career under Linehan, minor details we don't need those. We should go after him because we need a backup to Bulger. Linehan also failed to get his guy there.
Jeese Louise, Culpepper was in the minds of all the "experts" last year as an opion for the Rams in FA. I dunno, maybe this guy thinks Culpepper will provide competition for Fitz or something. We don't need Daunte and we never will.

Re: Let's sign Culpepper!
Freotte is a more then capable backup. He already know's this offense very well. I wouldn't want Culpepper coming in and having to learn everything at this point.
Bulger isn't as frail as you think. He got injured to seasons ago and that was his only major injury really. Bulger got sacked more then any other qb last year and didn't miss any time. This cap money could be better spent elsewhere. It's amazing anyone thinks this is a good idea.
