In free agency MLB in a glaring need for our Rams. There are a few options but I believe Marcus Washington, Channing Crowder, Bart Scott, and Mike Peterson are the best bets. A wild card yet very unlikely is Antonio Pierce coming to Rams but I have no idea what the trade scenario would be.

Out of these candidates which players would fit the Rams need for MLB given their talent and contract they would command to fill our cap status

I still haven't given up on Vilma. Morgan is back with The Saints & the P.R. mess caused by Vilma's arrest may drop his price & desirability to NO.

Never heard of any character issues regarding Vilma before this Miami arrest which sounds like a bad reflection on Miami cops as much as it does a problem with Vilma.

Black guy, probably a flashy car, Southern state....

I could be wrong & The Rams would have more info. Just like I'd hope they'd know more about Crowder's knee problems before giving the guy a multi-year deal.

Isn't Washington in his 30s? Injury problems? Sounds a little too Coakley or Claiborne for me.

Just to add to the list, I also wouldn't rule out Andra Davis from Cleveland. But as you guys pointed out, there are a number of good free agent linebackers that the Rams could choose from. Ultimately I think that's how they end up addressing the spot rather than using a high draft pick for a MLB.
