Lions fan here
I hope you don't mind me providing some insight to whom the Rams should draft this upcoming year... you guys need a QB.
I'm sure you've heard this tons before but everything revolves around the quarterback position. The Lions have been in this exact spot before; they were a trash team, the best option goes back to college (Bradford - 2009/Locker - 2010) and we are left with either a QB or a defensive beast (Curry/Suh). Picking Stafford was the best choice because the Lions had no drive in them, we had no leader.
Draft Bradford, he would've been #1 last year for a reason and his intangibles are better than Clausen's.

Re: Lions fan here
That would be awesome but I dont know if there is really a quarterback that warrants the #1 spot. Talent wise, Suh provides something the Rams dont have ont he defensive front so we can better our run defense.
Then there is the possibility of picking up a decent quarterback in the second round. With Bradfords injury, Pike, McCoy, even Clausen (who has a few character issues in my opinion). Thats just my opinion though.

Re: Lions fan here
Rarely do you ever find a franchise quarterback past the first round.
OFFTOPIC: Do the Lions of Bucs pick 2nd?

No offense, but this is just hating on the current winners of the Suh sweepstakes

He just wants Suh for himself! Don't listen to him!

Re: Lions fan here
Thank you for coming and telling the Ram fans to pass up the best player in the draft. None of us Ram fans knew what we should do until a Lion fan who had such great luck in the draft and is now one win ahead of our one win team told us what to do.

He's just mad that our Rams only regular season win was against them. Now we also win the offseason battle and get Suh by picking 1st ahead of them. Two bad beats at the hands of the lowly Rams.
By the way Detroit average 16.64 points a game so far this year and 16.75 points a game last year without Stafford. While he may be the next coming of Joe Montana you actually have averaged less points per game with him and still only managed two wins this year.Last edited by RamsSB99; -12-23-2009 at 09:42 AM.

Re: Lions fan here
Glad there's a classy fanbase here. I'm not sure how good Stafford is supposed to be when he has one viable, oft-injured, option on offense and the worst defense backing him. I also believe Peyton Manning has the most INT's for a rookie, ever?
In all honesty, Detroit hasn't had a Franchise QB since..... forever so I'm not sure why the last time you've drafted a QB matters. You're in the same boat as Detroit was last year. At least you guys have a choice between Clausen and Bradford.

Re: Lions fan here
All we are saying is as a detroit fan how do you know whats good for the RAMS....
The way you are saying it just sounds like you want Suh to drop to you guys. But 95% of the rams fans want Suh. We drafted D-line over and over again but this time it might be worth it. Clausen or Bradford dont sound like the sure type 1st round QB pick like some of the olds sounded the last 5-7 years. Like Eli, Rivers, Matt Ryan, or even Rodgers/Alex Smith.

Wow, you know your favorite franchise has reached bottom when a Lions fan is offering their advice.
