Re: A list of Free Agents for next season

All these years we talk about picking up free agents to solve the defensive problems.

Can someone please tell me sing '99 which free agent we picked up actually made a huge impact on this team. I'm sorry guys I've come to realize that most teams know what they have and keep the good players and let the garbage go. It seems like every year we continue to pick up the garbage.

Why not go back to the basics. Pick up some young players develop them and scheme a defense that plays well together.

I live in the DC area and I'm amazed at how G. Williams develop the Skins D into a monster team D. No stars on the D side. It did it almost 2 years without Arrington. Other than Arrington and Smoot most people can not name a player on the Skins D.....

After all that rambling my point is lets start to develop some players and leave the garbage alone.....

    GO Rams

Not to be negative or anything, but our shopping list for the Rams should be:

    A new defense

He is only a sack machine because he happens to play opposite Dwight Freeney who gets double and TRIPLE teamed plus he only plays on third down so all he can do is rush the passer, not a run stopping guy

Re: A list of Free Agents for next season

If Dwight Freeney gets a double team its the guard and tackle or tackle and tight end on the opposite side of Mathis and if the rams get a good deffensive coordinator or deffensive head coach maybe they can turn him into a dominate well rounded DE.

Mathis won't be wearing a Rams jersey if Little is on the team. He is a pure pass rusher for the Colts that will only line up with Freeney on 3rd down pass rushing plays. In the Colts-Jags game today he was in on a few 1st and 2nd down plays and those happened to be Jacksonville's two longest runs of the game. I think Dungy is trying to make him into a more balanced DE, and if that is true he will be re-signed in the offseason by the Colts.

we realy need to beef up the d-line again!!!!!!!! sign a pass rushing specialist to team up with hargrove, little... linebackers dont even get started there, because we are where we were going into the offseason last year

I don't know about going after Hutchinson. With Terrel, Incognito as our future and Timmerman still under contract why go after a big salary FA at a position that we really do not need.

I would rather pursue a top FA TE that we really need and then focus on upgrading the D with someone like Clements.

Hutchinson will probably get franchised anyway.

As for the TEs, not much in the FA crop this coming offseason.

Re: A list of Free Agents for next season

    This oughtta ruffle some feathers

My perfect dream scenario with what that list provides:

*Aquire a healthy Julian Peterson (LB)
*A healthy Nate Clements is a must
*I would definitely go after Brian Williams (CB) for a turnover ratio upgrade.
    * Signing Cato June would be huge! Along with (DT) Tripplett...Reality Check: no way they leave the Colts for the Rams.

Now for the OMG factor: Get Drew Brees and trade Mark Bulger AND Steve Jackson to Houston for....(trumpets please) REGGIE BUSH! Yes, HE'S THAT GOOD!

Dump Cleeland's a---uhhh, butt, and get Teyo Jonson.

    BAM! We're Baaaack! (Dream on)
