Re: Look back at last year
yeah, good question. im gonna use your thread to ask a question of my own since im more in your shoes.
How dead on was the mock drafts last year as opposed to who the teams(specifically the Rams of course) actually picked in the earlier rounds?

Like this year there is a few specific players that always come up in people's mocks, even in later rounds.
who were you guys talking about one year ago?
There was no consensus last year about the Rams' picks. It was basically a battle between Long and Dorsey (and a small contingent of people with Gholston at the top of their board) right up until the pick was made and even after.
If you go back into the forum, around pages 40-50, you can find some of the pre-draft mocks people had. Here's a link to my last two-round mock before the 2008 draft.

I had us going Chris Long and Sam Baker. It's interesting to go back and look at that, comparing it to what actually happened. I had some whiffs (Dorsey to Falcons, Gholston to Raiders, etc) but there were actually some right picks in there, albeit some of them were made in different spots. My mock actually had the Saints/Patriots trade and was only one pick off in compensation, and I also had the Saints moving up for the guy they ended up taking. Other hits included Felix Jones to Dallas, Kenny Phillips to New York, Chad Henne to Miami, James Hardy to Buffalo, Malcolm Kelly to the Redskins. Not too shabby.
On April 23rd, Scott Wright (NFL Draft Countdown), Matt Bitonti (DraftDaddy), Colin Lindsey (Great Blue North), and podcast host Greg DePalma did a podcast mock draft; here are the results for that...

I'd suggest going back into page 40+ and 50+ though. You'll find some of the mocks around there.
