Lorenzo Booker interested in Rams
FSU running back is interested
The Rams topped all the interviews. I was talking to their running backs coach, Coach Moses. He recruited me when he was at USC. It took us awhile to talk about football. He took me back to Amp Lee at FSU. He said, do you guys still have that play, a sprint draw? I said yea. He said, can you draw up that blocking scheme? So I was drawing up everyone's progressions. The man blocking, wide receivers, full back, running back. I was teaching him how the play was supposed to be run. I was breaking down the entire offense. When I was done, I turned around, and the entire Rams coaching staff was watching me.

Re: Lorenzo Booker interested in Rams
Cool, but I just don't see the logic in taking him, isn't he like a high first rounder, early second round draft pick? I say stick with our needs, but he'd be a cool pickup indeed, good change of pace back, correct?

Re: Lorenzo Booker interested in Rams
Ah ok...Hmm, he'd be an interesting guy to obtain from the draft if "the price is right". It would be hard to believe that (if he is a 3rd rounder) that all from Free-Agency and the draft, we'd be ok to draft this guy because we have confidence in what we got defensively, and the o-line is going to be good to go. I just don't see us having the confidence to get a RB there, 4th round is a different story...I'd go for him there. But then again, what do I know about the draft? Basically nothing, just my opinion lol

He would be a perfect 3rd round pick.

Re: Lorenzo Booker interested in Rams
Does he have any experience as a returner?

Re: Lorenzo Booker interested in Rams
Thanks, Nick.
If we don't go defense in the 3rd or 4th round, I'd be leaning towards a big WR or one that has excelled as a returner. I'm not so sure I'd be looking at a running back yet. I think we have many more options at running back."...and a great new warrior emerged from the many, to carry the torch, and his name was Rammin' Jackson...and a new era had begun! Especially if Faulk decides to suit up.

Re: Lorenzo Booker interested in Rams
It doesn't sound like Faulk is going to be suiting up again, even though he still wants to play.
Jackson has been our workhorse this year. Stephen Davis has been a great mentor for Jackson and a good RB for when he needs a break, but he is old in RB years.
A RB might be a good 3rd or 4th round option, but they should be able to return the ball. I was really impressed with Leon Washington last year and he had a good rookie year. It wouldn't be bad to pick up someone like him.
I was just looking him up, and the funny thing is that he played with Leon.
