Lorenzo Neal
Not sure if it was a temporary move or to clear cpa spacem but the Chargers cut Lorenzo Neal.
I'd be VERY happy if the Rams could pick him up and throw him in front of SJAX in 2008.
Thoughts?

Re: Lorenzo Neal
I'd be very happy as well, though it does kinda take up Leonard's space as a FB as well.
Turner's offense uses more two TE sets and doesn't use the FB much, so Neal sat most of the year, not getting used. Also, having been a FB, he's not in every down anyway, so he comes with relatively little wear on his tires. He's older, so he won't ask for much, but the question remains, would we use him?

Re: Lorenzo Neal
I can see him lead blocking a lot better than Leonard - unless Leonard bulks up. So we axe Richard Owens (if we haven't already) and insert Neal. He and Leonard spell each other and Leonard gets the chance to learn behind one of the best in the league.

Re: Lorenzo Neal
If we could sign him to a relatively cheap deal, then I'm all for it. My only concern is that hes a little old. But the few years he is here, we can easily let him teach Leonard.

Re: Lorenzo Neal
Pass. 37 is way too old. Lets find somebody younger who can hold the role down for years to come.

Re: Lorenzo Neal
We should never have released Madison Hedgecock.
