    Marcus Lattimore

"I remember so many guys in high school and college who would kill to be in my position right now, even with the injury," Lattimore said. "They'd kill to be in a position to go to the NFL and do what you dream. And the main things I feel like, I can't take this for granted. Not one day. Ever.

"I'll never complain. Ever since this happened, I'll never complain about anything in my life."

That was a quote from an interview with Lattimore. Words cannot profess how badly I want this guy on the Rams because I am going to be rooting very hard for him to succeed. Most would have folded by now after having there leg decimated, but this guy just keeps working.

You need two things to succeed in the NFL: Talent and Drive. Many have Part 1, but fail miserably at Part 2. As of October this man had the talent to be a first round pick & the drive to match it. Will he be the same RB? I don't know, but if I had the opportunity to bring this guy in I would.

I am praying that he falls to us in Round 4, and we make Marcus' dream come true. I think the results could be a future pro bowl back.

We showed heavy interest in him throughout the pre-draft process so I hope in a couple hours I will be even happier with this draft than I already am.

    That is my take.

EXACT same sentiments I share. He is going to be a superstar at the next level. I was reallllllly hoping we would have drafted him last night at the end of round 3 (even though it would have been early). I'm afraid that we won't get the chance to draft him here in the 4th, though Charley Casserly said earlier today: "Yeah, he's a guy I'd definitely take a chance on, spend a 7th" so maybe he will be available.

I WANT LATTIMORE. Go spend that 4th rounder on him!!

I am hoping we grab him in the 4th as well. He might not be ready to go immediately but he can be stashed while he continues to recover. I am comfortable with Pead and Richardson, and think that we need a short yardage bruiser to compliment those two, and a back like that can be had as an UDFA.

Yeah I was really hoping we'd pull the trigger last night as well but am very happy with Stedman. 15 picks away from probably our last opportunity because if not here, I see no way he slides to rd 5.

I think we're now in the range where he becomes a consideration, although if I'm looking at the board and I see Lattimore and a similar valued center-fielding type safety, I'd probably go the latter.

One thing that terrifies me is San Francisco getting Lattimore. I'd throw up.

My fear came true. That is a crazy good pick.

There are no longer any RBs I think worth taking with Franklin gone too. All RBs left I feel are clones of Pead/Rich

Wait did I mention I don't like Lattimore?

Someone hacked my clanram account and posted this haha.

In all seriousness though, really wanted to root for this guy... Unfortunately now I cannot..

Can't wait to see T.J McDonald lite him up! I think a guy to look out for is Latavius Murray.

    Re: Marcus Lattimore

I think very highly of Lattimore. Unfortunately, i think its wishful thinking to believe that after two major knee surgeries he returns to his prior form. He may be able to play in the nfl, but the unlimited ceiling he exhibited in the past is in my view gone. In addition, i bet the whiners stash him on IR for the year. ITs a luxury pick, and a GREAT pick for them, but our roster is not in a position in my view to draft a guy that is physically in that kind of injury situation with no assurances that he will ever come close to his prior form. I am a huge SEC fan, and he certainly wasnt the same after the first knee injury, so i cant imagine its possible to that he is going to revert to pre injury form after the second injury. GReat story of perseverance and i have a ton of respect for him, but i dont think he was a good pick for us unless it was a 7th round flyer.
