Mark Claytons Contract Status??

Has anyone heard anything about this?I want him back just for the pure fact that with hardly any time to practice with Sam last year they showed great chemistry very early.I think what he showed those 4 games he deserves to come back at least for 1 year.We have other WR's unproven and that dont deserve to comeback but will most likely come back id rather we resign mark and cut some others.After the draft and FA (Mike Sims Walker) it looks like he might be expandable,hopefully not but it being 1 week away from our first preseason game and we dont have him signed i can see him not being resigned.Does anyone have any info and just curious what u guys think about this situation.

The last thing i heard, is that his knee didnt pass the medical check-up, so hasnt been re-signed yet.

Not sure if there has been any other update, not much chatter lately on Clayton.

Yeah, bad knee...and with all the teams that needed a cheap WR, if he was really in decent health someone else would have signed him.....so the knee must'nt be up to par at alll

You're going to have to patient until/when his surgicaly repaired knee can pass a physical. At this point it would be counterproductive if not dangerous to his health to attempt to have him practice or do much of anything of a physical nature.

Most of us want him back but at like he was last year.

Hopefully he can return to that level...

The problem with Clayton is that even though he did make some good catches, he also had a fair few drops in his short amount of playing time last year. This might be one reason the Rams went with Pettis and Salas in the draft and decided to try Mike Sims-Walker

Update on Clayton:

Mark clayton visits rams and talks to spags but still a ways away from being considered healthy enough to play following 2010 knee surgery.

Update from John Clayton this morning:

WR Mark Clayton worked out for the Rams Wednesday, indicating he's ready to re-sign with the team. Clayton is expected back with the team.

Should be signed soon enough, fingers crossed.? Good receiver, he will be welcomed back by Bradford big time. Its another weapon.!

if they sign Clayton, Gilyard is gonna be buried so deep in the depth chart, it would take less time to keep digging and make is may to China.
