Heather A. Dinich, of the Baltimore Sun, reports University of Maryland TE Vernon Davis will not return for his senior year, as he has hired an NFL agent. He plans to enter the 2006 NFL Draft. He began training at a facility in Arizona Monday morning, Jan. 2. He has hired an agent from Lock, Metz and Malinovic said Peggy Iralson, a spokesman for Athletes Performance in Tempe, Ariz. Iralson said Davis began to go through evaluations and tests this morning in preparation for the Feb. 20 NFL combine in Indianapolis, Ind.
