    Re: The Matt Jones Question

I heard a scout from the Packers on ESPN radio, this guy is faster than Mike Vick and Randy Moss. His college coaches were telling the Pro guys about this guys speed, size, and strength and the NFL guys didn't believe it.. The Pro guys predicted he'd run in the 4.6 range and that he was really a good athlete, but not elite. Now they are calling him the freak and said that his potential is unlimited !

I know about our history of projects all too well. I know we need 0-line help big-time and our Defense was ran all over in crunch-time, but I keep thinking that Issac Bruce is going to start having injury problems at his age in this full tilt offense (for wideouts).

Of course they can, but you're not likely to see as many multiple receiver sets when you start getting close the goal line. That's when you start bringing in a tight end or two, and having a guy like Jones at tight end would be beneficial, because it adds the threat of having a receiver as well as a blocker on the line. If he lines up at receiver, then he's not going to help you much on inside handoffs or off-tackle runs, where tight ends can help move the pile.
