3. Brian Robiske WR

5. Juaquin Iglesias WR Oklahoma
6. Kevin Ogletree WR Virgina
7. Brandon Long DE Michigan State

Im not sure how I feel about this. I know every mock must not be taken seriously, but that is alot of WR and a lot of offense in general. Any thoughts?

I seriously don't think it's necessary for us to even pick more than 2 receivers in this draft.

I would not feel good if we only addressed our defense in the second and seventh round.

In rounds 5 and 6 he had us picking at 138 & 176. That was what position we would have picked at before the Laurent trade. Now we are much lower in both rounds. Rounds 1-3 are good then the rest is a bunch of crap.

This is why people idolize Mel Kiper (other guys are way better IMO) His little brother is an idiot, but what do you expect from ESPN?

Michael Smith and some sometimes Jon Clayton are the only guys worth there salt when it comes to a football. They do have good anchors though I will say that

I love picks 1-3 and I'm not going to argue pick 5 because I think Iglesias would be too good value-wise to pass up. But of the remaining three picks, two more are on offense and one is a third rookie WR. That's just horrible.

No way in hell Robiskie's there in the 3rd, especially considering that I've seen him in the 1st just because you know that he'll be a good #2 receiver thanks to being his father's son. I fully expect him to go no later than #15 in the 2nd round, especially if one or more of the other receivers drop.

That said, tear out those last two receivers, and I'll be happy to take the draft.

A. I just don't see Robiskie available at the start of day 2.

B. Even with Robiskie on board, I agree, it'd be hard to pass on Iglesias in the 5th.

C. No way do the Rams spend 5 of their first 6 picks on one side of the ball.

picks 1&2&3 that alone would be a great draft,after that we don't need to keep using picks on receivers.it becomes a BPA situation after the first 3 or 4 picks.

I suppose ol McShay was looking at purely the best players available in rounds 4-7. Sure we may not like seeing three rookie wide outs, but you never know, you might catch lightning in a bottle in the late rounds as long as you don't have your blinders on. IMHO for us non experts (that includes me, you, Kiper, McShay, Scott Wright, and yes even Nick) the last few rounds are a crapshoot. Heck even for the experts its a gamble to see who will find the next Tom Bradys of the world. In closing, I liked the mock, and I would not be devastated if Saturday really went down like McShay has it- I would be really surprised, but not devastated.

All I can say is McShay is a dork. 3 WR's? I'd say taking any one WR is questionable, let alone 3.

i like 1-5 but Brian Robiske isnt gonna be there in the 3rd so Juaquin Iglesias is a nice pick in the 5th
