Mock draft with Suh and Mcnabb
The Eagles have been looking for a first round draft pick for McNabb if they dont get a bite and would settle for the Rams first pick in the second round we could get a proven QB.
Sign:
Willie Parker (backup Jackson for one year find younger back up next year)
Na'il Diggs OLB (competition for starting job with Edds and depth)
Resign:
Atogwe
Little or Hall as insurance and to mentor Lang for DE.

This team could win several games IMO. If you have our WR's come back healthy and you add McNabb, Graham, Parker, and Fraley to the offense and Suh, Robbins, Lang, Diggs and Edds to the defense.
Re: Mock draft with Suh and Mcnabb
see but this only works IF we get Mcnabb
Re: Mock draft with Suh and Mcnabb
I dont think we need to win several games next year, and i dont like the idea of picking McNabb up for a couple of seasons when we could use that second rounder to get a player that will be with the Rams for a long time

Agreed.
I'm not a big fan of getting McNabb. He's not getting any younger, and he might prove capable to lead us, but probably only for a few more seasons...then we'd have to find another replacement.
It's better to just have a fresh start at QB IMO.
I would even prefer Colt McCoy and Dan LeFevour to McNabb.
Re: Mock draft with Suh and Mcnabb
If we were in the Vikings position of two years ago, where they had all the pieces in place except a great quarterback, then I think we should do this. Otherwise, we need to continue to rebuild, and put those first pieces into place. McNabb is a stop gap solution at this point, not someone we want to build our franchise around.
Re: Mock draft with Suh and Mcnabb
McNabb wouldnt come here unless we paid him a crazy amount on an extention of his contract and that would in no way be in our best interest considering his age. He also has durability concerns which would only increase behind our unproven line.
I would take McNabb over Vick, but who wouldnt? I think we are completely rebuilding and we should draft Bradford and put pieces in place around him for the long term, even if it means another tough year in the short term.
I hope we leave him in Philly to finish his career.
Re: Mock draft with Suh and Mcnabb
The fact is, McNabb can't win a big game, even if he has a great team behind him.
I'd rather draft a QB who might lead us to a superbowl.

I pray to god we dont get Mcnabb.
Re: Mock draft with Suh and Mcnabb
Why would we trade our high 2nd round pick for an often injured Mcnabb?
If the eagles lower expectations like maybe a 3rd and performance compensation the next year it would work
Re: Mock draft with Suh and Mcnabb
Take Suh, he's a sure winner from day one. QBs, with the exception of a Mark Sanchez, take years to develop, if they ever do. Ndamukong "House of Spears" Suh will be another Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White or Freeney. We'll bring Warner out of retirement and win the big show once again.

why would we bring Warner out of retirement? He's not Brett Favre.. and we want players for future.

I was just kidding about Warner. But to answer your question, Warner would give us a winning season.
Re: Mock draft with Suh and Mcnabb
I think you over-ranked a couple guys, this is my mock with McNabb:
1.01- Suh- DT (BPA)
2.01- McNabb (meh, not crazy about the deal, but it's plan B if we don't like what we see in Bradford)
3.01- Sean Lee- WLB (another fundamentally sound LB to pair with James)
4.01- Jimmy Graham- TE (athlete, not quite a football player...yet)
5.01- Daniel Te'o-Nesheim- DE (stock is rising, but he's a great athlete)
5.24- Anthony Dixon- RB (very similar style to Jackson)
6.01- Marshall Newhouse- RT (might not be able to play RT)
7.01- Danario Alexander- WR (huge injury risk, but at this point, why not)
7.19- Patrick Stoudamire- CB (small school guy with upside)
7.COMP Pick- Trindon Holliday- KR (could be a difference maker, but he's like 5'5)
