Mock offseason numero uno!!!
Rams Offsesason strategy is getting younger and more explosive on offense and Bigger and deeper on defense.
Unrestricted Free Agents
Channing Crowder, MLB, Miami- Big aggressive MLB to put in the middle to stuff the run so spoon can excel on the outside
OJ Otogwe, FS, Rams- One of the rams best young talents, he needs to get locked up
Ron Bartell, CB, Rams- Has played solid just needs someone opposite him
Jabari Greer, CB, Bills- Rams have a ton of young guys they can develop so they add the vet Greer until one is ready to start
Gabe Watson, NT, Cardinals- A much needed big body to stop the run and put in the DT rotation
Brad Meester, C, Jaguars- A good vet center to anchor the line and help the young guys who are to the right and left of him.
Restricted Free Agent
Victor Adenyanju, DE, Rams
Derek Stanley, WR, Rams
Release/ Retire
Drew Bennett, WR, Rams- Overpaid bum
Corey Chavous, SS, Rams- Rams want to get younger and faster
Laroi Glover, DT, Rams- Retires
Pisa Tinoisimoa, LB, Rams- doesn't fit in any more now that Spoon is on the Weak side.
Draft
1. Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech.

No Smith or Oher no problem. Crabtree gives the Rams our Larry Fitzgerald to Perfectly pair with Avery
2. Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State

Can immediately step in and play RT putting Barron on the bench or at RG. Very powerful and that shows in his run and pass blocking. He will eventually replace Pace
3. Michael Hamlin, SS, Clemson

Great play maker who could start immediately next to OJ
4. Rhett Bomar, QB, Sam Houston State

Underrated becuase of the school he plays at, but has a great arm and is very accurate. He will be the QB of the future
5. Andrew Gardner, OT, Georgia Tech.

Very good tackle who pass blocks and run blocks well. He could be the future RT when Okung replaces Pace at LT
6. Marcus Thigpen, RB, Indiana

Gives Leon Washington type of versatility can do a bit of everything he is the perfect change of pace speed back to compliment S-jax and to pair up with Pittman if S-jax goes down.
7. Brandon Swain, DE, Western Texas A&M

great pass rusher from a small school. Could come in and be a situational guy.
Re: Mock offseason numero uno!!!
OH MAN! That would be great.
However, I think that we would be in line to select one of the two linemen you mentioned at the Crabtree pick.
If we could add a solid OT from the free agency then I would be all over the pick.
However, Crabtree would equal nothing to us if we can't fix the line.
Also, you have several great picks on there. Got me excited for a second there.
Your free agency list is also reasonable. None of the HUGE name players on there. But big enough for our team to snag and plug into the system.
