Gresham gets us a starter for a weapon, and I'm a little unsure about Best's head after his injury last fall, so I would go with Gresham.

Good group. I think Odrick is still available as well, no?

I've added him to the list. So now I have 5 I'm honing in on.

    Thanks HUb!

Defense, Offense, Defense, Offense...etc etc....Not sure which way I'm going yet.

Flip a coin, Heads is Gresham and Tails is Odrick. I don't think we can miss either way. I'd avoid Best and look at a RB in 3 or 4 depending on whose around. Ogby looked decent during Jackson's week off.

Re: Moderator Mock Draft***Help I'm On The Clock***

IMO you should strongly consider Odrick.

He's the sort of player who would be at home at UT opposite cliff Ryan and he's a first round talent. He has a great skillset and I personally think he's a player that the Patriots, Colts and Saints would target. He's that kind of pedigree player. I think he's definitely the BPA in this scenario and I'd be elated to select him in round two if we missed out on Suh.

I like Best a lot and I think he'd be a great compliment to Jackson. He has durability concerns but if you want to go offense then I think he's the best bet from the standpoint that he has the greatest potential to change our offense from the get-go. If you're looking for a pro comparison, I'd say his floor is Felix Jones and his ceiling is DeSean Jackson.

The allure of Gresham is obvious. Personally I'd stay away because of his injury concerns. I'm not one to throw a bunch of money at two players who have missed the last seasons of their collegiate careers because of major injuries. With that said, the possibility of hooking Bradford up with somebody he's already comfortable with and confident in is something for the FO (that's you!) to strongly consider if you're convinced that his injury concerns are minimal.

Griffen, on the other hand has been a good DE for USC. The problem that I have is that I can't recall the last DE from the Trojans' program who has had any successes in the pro's. He reminds me of Lawrence Jackson, who has had a moderate (but not impressive) career so far for Seattle. I think Jackson has had six sacks in two years and a total of fifty tackles.

I guess you could say that these are my top four and I've listed them in order of who I'd like to see you select.

Well from your list, I think it comes down to Odrick and Gresham.

I don't really like Griffen because he's not a consistent pass rusher, and he doesn't really make big plays.

Gresham would be the guy I would go with, to make sure Bradford succeeds. The young guy needs some help.

Re: Moderator Mock Draft***Help I'm On The Clock***

I think we need to give our new QB some weapons to throw to, and the fact that he is familiar with the best one available only sweetens the deal. Add in the fact that TE imho is a major hole on our team (Fells shows flashes, but thats all he has shown me), and this pick makes even more sense.

Odrick should be strongly considered, but imo DT is a fairly solid position for us right now, what with Clif Ryan being a stud and Fred Robbins coming in and adding veteran leadership... also I'm still not giving up on Carriker yet.

Best is tempting but I think value at RB2 will be there in the third, Greshem all the way for me.

Jermaine Gresham, Bradford will have a favorite target to throw, and a TE's another offensive need for us (aside from Fells). I'm not up for drafting a WR unless it's 5th-7th for roster depth purposes. RBs would be nice to keep Jackson from getting beatings but thats a third in my book.

That's the first time this offseason I've heard anyone make that argument.

I guess it was only a matter of time, but gosh darn, we were going so well!

I fear that our clock has expired and Detroit is going to jump ahead and steal our pick
