Re: My Final Draft Poll
I will actually be very surprised if the Rams don't take Chris Long. But Dorsey will be very good himself. He was a beast at LSU.

Re: My Final Draft Poll
I voted that I prefer Chris Long, but I'd still be happy with Glenn Dorsey.
There are questions marks with Dorsey, no doubt. He does not fill a top "need position," and he has injury "issues." That said, if I had to bet $1,000 on which player in this draft is most likely to be a Pro Bowl player within five years, I'd have to go with Dorsey.
Chris Long is my preference because I think he too can be a Pro Bowl player, he fits a need, and he is a safe pick.
But, for me, its a 51/49 split, not a 90/10 split.

Re: My Final Draft Poll
I'm just the opposite of Av. I'd rather have Dorsey but won't go "Cartman" if we draft Chris Long.
However, the Dick Dasterdly in me is really wanting the Rams to draft McFadden.

It's really a close call, I like Long as he fills a bigger need. I like Dorsey as well, I think he can take over a game. Need wins out for me.

There needs to be one more choice:
After all the debating and such I am now thoroughly befuddled, and am glad I am not the one making the pick. As long as it is one of the Big 3 that are left I'll be happy ... If I did have to pick, I'd flip a coin between Dorsey and Long - unless there is a three sided coin .. :x

Re: My Final Draft Poll
I voted I prefer Chris Long, but would be happy with Glenn Dorsey.
My burning question is why are teams willing to trade up for Dorsey, but I haven't read a single rumor anywhere about a team looking to trade up for Chris Long. Is it a position issue DT vs. DE, a formation issue 3-4 vs.
4-3 a physical specimen issue, college conference/opposition issue ACC vs. SEC or a draft depth issue?
I just feel we CANNOT screw-up this pick under any circumstances.
Go Rams!:r

Re: My Final Draft Poll
I went with Dorsey but would be happy with Long.
I just feel Dorsey will be a beast and a good leader on a defensive team that is searching for it's identity. I feel Dorsey will bring the warrior attitude and his presence will inspire the rest of the team.
Long will bring a high motor that will also inspire play. He fits the team needs I just do not feel he has as much talent and leadership qualities as Dorsey.
Go Rams

A very interesting question. Why is nobody else interested in trading up for Long? Are we getting carried away by our need for a DE and therefore going to pass on a better player? There was a scenario before Miami sealed the Jake deal that Chris Long could have dropped as far as the Jets.
I'd still prefer Long but if the men in the know believe Dorsey is that much better than Chris, then draft him.

Re: My Final Draft Poll
I want Chris Long. We need the impact DE in the first round. I don't think Dorsey will help us (no take a DE in the second round stuff here folks). We need a DE this year, in the first round. Our pass rush has struggled so often in the past seasons, its time to change that, this saturday.

Re: My Final Draft Poll
I voted for, "My strong preference is that the Rams take Chris Long." He's my top choice. I would be okay with Dorsey - not exactly thrilled but okay with it - but I think we're passing up another of the draft's best prospects that better fills an area of weakness. Either way you add a top prospect, but I'm just concerned about what Dorsey's addition means for our other personnel. And I'm still nervous about the injury issue.
