My ideal first and second round picks
My ideal first and second round picks are Aaron Curry of Wake Forest and William Beatty the OT from UCONN. I feel Beatty isnt that much of a step down, if at all, from Smith/Monroe. My question is do you think Beatty will be there when we pick, and if not, what other OTs could be there in early in the second? Im pretty much up to date on all of the positions, except for the O line. If Beatty isnt there, and we dont pick up a safety Im thinking this is where we get it, maybe William Moore or Sean Smith the S/CB from Utah, if he is there. If not, then I dont know, maybe Ron Brace the NT from Boston College.

Re: My ideal first and second round picks
Last year OL dominated the 1st round. ANd all of them played well. So that my be the same this year. So i think Beatty will be taken in the late 1st.
My opinion is:
1st: Jason Smith or Eugene Monroe
2nd: James Lauinitis
I jsut think Laurinitis is better for us. He is a team leader. And that is what you need in an MLB. He has outstanding Work Ethic and a motor that never stops (kinda like Chris Long). He can run sideline to sidline
IF he is there for us in the 2nd take him. If not take CLint sintim who is and excellent blitzer and pass rusher as a SLB and would be great in Spags system.

Re: My ideal first and second round picks
With the Cassel trade, the Pats now land the second round pick of the Chiefs, which is before our pick. I think they snatch up Laurinaitis in a heartbeat if he's available.

Re: My ideal first and second round picks
Quite possibly, and that's certainly a logical choice. But you can always use depth at the position, and Bruschi is fragile at best, and pretty old to boot. He's 35, if I remember correctly. It all depends on who falls where when they pick, but he would certainly be a steal at that point, and would fit into their system perfectly.

Re: My ideal first and second round picks
Devaney recently indicated the Rams might be able to keep Pace under their current cap situation.
If that is indeed the case, then how often do you get a chance to draft a defensive stud like Curry? I'd think not often.
As of today, I'd like to see the Rams go with Curry in the 1st round.
