my two first round rams picks

Given our recent surge, and the redskins surge, it looks like our two picks will both be mid first round 14-20 range as an estimate.

My two picks for us:

Eric Reid, safety, LSU
Chance Wormack, G, Alabama.

Thoughts?

Love the Warmack pick. If we got a dominant LG we'd have an amazing line. That'd mean we could leave a TE or HB in to help the RT in pass pro. I could only imagine how good our running game would be with a dominant LG like Warmack. He can easily be a perennial pro bowler.

I hate the Reid pick. I don't think he is anything special and I'd hate it if we spent a 1st round pick on him. I'd verrrryy much rather spend a late first or 2nd on Matt Elam, or Tony Jefferson.

I like both players.

Warmack to me would be a no-brainer in that range.

Reid, who I like, might be a good selection there, depending on what the Rams have done in FA and who is still available at that point.

I'm with Sosa, but not as extreme. I think the Warmack pick makes all the sense in the world. But I think there will probably be better value on the board than Reid if the Rams are picking in the Top 20. Still, a lot can happen between now and the draft.

I, like the others, love the Warmack pick. He has been a rock (don't forget we have another Rok [haha] waiting return) for Alabama. Our running game and pass pro would be amazing. Imagine Sam being able to step up in the pocket rather than take a beating.

I DO like Reid, but I think value wise, we could get him in round 2 barring a stellar combine - he has slipped behind many other safeties. I still like the idea of Vaccaro, Mosely, or Matthews with the next pick.

I don't think Reid is worth a top 20 pick honestly. We might be able to get Mcdonald or Vaccaro in round 2 and both are as good as Reid.

Also I like Warmack as much as anyone but I think we need a RT much more than we need a guard. If all things were equal I'd take Warmack over Matthews but with us having a clear need at RT I think I'd be more likely to take Matthews.

I still like Eric Reid, this works for me. He has the size that is needed to match up with the bigger TE.

Chance Wormack, G, is a great player, but I think the Rams can get one later in the draft if they feel it's a need. We have Turner, Rok and Shelley, to fill the LG spot. We lost Rok so early we did not get to see what he can do.

I do not think there is a safety worth picking at 15 or 18. People talk Reid up alot, but I am not sure his play warrants a first round pick to this point, especially with some quality safeties potentially being there in round 2. At this point, I am completely in favor of drafting 2 OL with out first two picks. It is not sexy, but I feel that a solid OL for once in Bradfords career could lead to massive improvement for all areas of the offense: Bradford, WRs, and even the TE position

I would love to get
15- Warmack
18 - Matthews/Eric Fisher (As i assume Joeckel and Lewan will be gone)

and then coming back in the second round and taking a safety or a WR.

That would be my ideal picks, however, I would not be upset as long as they take 1 offensive lineman.

Also, any thoughts on taking Ertz from Stanford in the 2nd round?

I don't think the Rams are done with Watkins at LG.

The Rams will get dynamic players in the first round. I'm not sure they see a LG as dynamic. RT - yes.

Not a fan of Reid, I think he's an early 2nd rounder. Not worth a first rounder.

Love the Wormack pick, Rams definitely need a mauler-type on the line. Nothing worse than seeing your team send out the punt unit after failing to pick up a 3rd and short. Not so much in love with the Eric Reid pick; thinks there's a lot better options in FA or later in the draft. Wouldn't mind the Rams picking OL again with their other 1st rounder (either Jake Matthews or Eric Fisher would be great pick-ups). WR is an option also, even though their isn't really one guy I love in the mid-first round. An intriguing pick would be Tyler Eiffert, think he would give STL a great TE combo with him and Kendrinks.
