Narrowed Down WR's!
So far the only few WR's left are :
Mario Manningham: I wouldn't pursue him unless its cheap, which it wont be.
Marques Colston: The premier WR of the FA market in my opinion.
Vincent Jackson: Another nice solid option.
I don't really see Reggie Wayne or Brandon Lloyd as options here because even if we got either of them I still think we'd pursue another WR.
Who do you prefer?

Re: Narrowed Down WR's!
It depends on who we trade with....which is the reason I wish will draft our #2 pick quickly .
I think Vincent Jackson is alittle better than Colston but Colston is better down the field. So, if we are drafting Blackmon we may want more speed. Garcon is available too for what it is worth. Maybe Meachem too....
I personally like the idea of getting Blackmon/Floyd/S.Hill and Early Doucet as a cheaper option.
Doucet is highly underrated and a better version of Meachem in my opinion.
Doucet hasn't had a good QB and deferred in AZ.....
PS -- Manningham and DX are similiar players....no need for a soft, speed , slot guy for high bux in Manningham.

Re: Narrowed Down WR's!
I voted for Manningham because the cost/performance ratio is realistic for us. He is young enough to sign to a long-term deal indicating we can spread his cost out over more years than the others relative to their value. Plus we will still draft a WR so there is no total reliance on MM being the #1 WR. I just feel Jackson and Colsten will command more money than they are truly worth to us.
Go Rams!

Re: Narrowed Down WR's!
I went with Vincent Jackson, he has a good 4 year contract lef in him at a high level, we need to pair him up with somebody good tho maybe bring Lloyd back? It's starting to look like Cleveland isn't going to deal for RG3 and we trade with Washington so we miss out on Blackmon at #6. And I don't like taking Richardson at #6, the only blue chip prospect left...

Re: Narrowed Down WR's!
Manningham doesn't really excite me. I would go with either Jackson or Colston, probably in that order, and then try to target another potential starter in the draft (Blackmon, Floyd, etc). If the Rams want Sam to fulfill his potential, they have to give him the tools to do so!

Re: Narrowed Down WR's!
I done see what you like about Early Doucet. The guys absolute trash. I'd rather we just not go after anything. Crazy potential and just flunked another year. This guy was wide open for a 30 yard TD WIDE OPEN to win the game and he couldn't get the ball. Consistently all year plays like that happened. I'll pass.
I'm very intrigued by Garcon. That'll be some good value for whoever snatches him.

With Bowe off the market, Colston and Jackson are my 1A and 1B.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Narrowed Down WR's!
I like Manningham as a mid-market #2, but that's not what we're looking for at this point. Between Jackson and Colston, I'm partial to Colston although I admit that it's more a feeling than because of any specific element of his game that I prefer over Jackson's.

Re: Narrowed Down WR's!
I would prefer Jackson over Colston. He's more physical and durable. I'm not sold on Colston I think he could end up being a product of the system they run in New Orleans.
I wouldn't mind Garcon at a cheap price he could be a solid #2 with good deep threat speed and good hands.
But we still need to draft a top wr in this years draft as well, but I do believe we could wait till late first ( if we trade and aquire Clevelands #22) or even top of the second to grab a guy like floyd, randle,Hill etc., only if we sign a top flight Wr in FA.

Well I thought I was over my Vincent Jackson infatuation, but that's just one horse I can't jump off!

Re: Narrowed Down WR's!
I am a huge Marques Colston fan, and think he is as, if not more talented than VJax, yet I think VJax will command a bigger contract.
Gimme MC Hammer.

Re: Narrowed Down WR's!
How is it no one has brought WR Rueben Randle name up much, around here.? Ive read recently the Rams were taking a very close look at him. Which doesn't surprise me one little bit. Randle reminds me of a Fisher type draft pick from his Titan days. A big, strong, physical looking receiver. He definitely doesn't wow me, but he is still an impressive looking individual. I like the way he finds that extra gear when he sniffs the end zone. I could see some team falling for him, at the top of the second round.
