NFC WEST Power Ranking
I dont know about everyone else but after the trades and the majority of relevant picks done and dusted. I'm loave to admit it but i think the Seahawks did more overall to improve there team, just behind the rams improvment.
The seahwaks drafted Okung, Earl Thomas & Golden Tate while trading for Washington / Len Dale White
The 49'ers are going smash-mouth again through the draft but have the weakest QB stable in the NFC West.
So my power ranking would be at this point
#1 Cardinals (previously #1)
#2 Seahawks (previously #3)
#3 49'ers (previously #2)
#4 Rams (previously #4)
Although the Rams have closed the gap, i cant see them getting a better record than the rest ... Seahawks and 49'ers are interchangeable but both have closed to within breathing distance of the Cardinals.
Summary, the bottom teams are getting better and the top teams is falling down should mean a interesting year in the NFC West.
Sam "Ram" Bradford everyone. Get on the train and see him carry us to NFC West glory .. in 2011.Last edited by Ram Mar Ram; -04-24-2010 at 04:07 PM.

Re: NFC WEST Power Ranking
Nah, I'm not buying that the Cards are gonna remain at the top of this division, they just lost too much.
Also I'm not near as high on the Seahags, Fat Lendale doesn't scare me, and Leon Washington broke his leg. They did add some pretty good rookies, but I don't see them as better than the Niners
Which brings me to my next unfortunate point, I believe the ***** will run away with this division.
I think King Sam is going to go through some growing pains this year, so I can't really claim the Rams will work their way out of the cellar just yet.
Though don't rule out an 8-8 season!

Re: NFC WEST Power Ranking
I'm unimpressed with the Seahawks. At quarterback, Hasselbeck has been bad for the last two years, and Whitehurst was a third stringer with the Chargers. The Seahawks still have the least talent in the division at runningback, and Earl Thomas isn't going to save their 23rd ranked defense. It's a coin toss between us and them as to who will be the worst in the division next year.
I also think the losses of Warner and Boldin will really hurt the Cardinals offense, while the *****' focus on running and defense will pay off. At this stage, I'd predict:
1. *****
2. Cardinals
3. Rams
4. Seahawks

Re: NFC WEST Power Ranking
I guess the season will tell but i think the Seahawks will be in the running for the diviosion title this year. Cardinals have lost a bunch but i think they get the top rank until the season starts.

1. *****
everyone else
outside of that, it doesn't matter. The nfcw won't put multiple teams in the postseason for a few more years, the way I see it

Re: NFC WEST Power Ranking
I'm gonna hate facing Patrick Willis, Navarow Bowman, and Taylor Mays!!! **** we are already injury prone, now this...
Jackson is gonna have an extremely hard time running the ball against them, so we'll have to rely on Bradford and his mad skills to throw over the top of Mays. Meat heads vs our finesse offense...Last edited by The Optimistic Lamb; -04-24-2010 at 06:34 PM.

im not scared of Mays. He is weak in coverage, i think Bradford can exploit that

Re: NFC WEST Power Ranking
When the niners drafted Mays, I texted my 49er friend with a one word message. Considering this is a family site and all, just use your imagination.
Of course my feelings on Mays are on record here somewhere...

Re: NFC WEST Power Ranking
I think the cards are done for until they get a real QB. Loosing Warner is devastating, because you loose a great leader and field general. We all know Leinart can't fill those shoes.

Re: NFC WEST Power Ranking
Mays is 6'3 230. Jackson is 6'2 236. Bring it.
Mays can't wrap up and leasd with his shoulder all the time and is a liability in coverage. They can have him. Willis is great, no comment there. I like the Bowman pick as well, remains to be seen how he is however. I like the ***** moves although im just not keen on Mays and think he was drafted for potential more than anything else.
