No, probably Atogwe. Compensatory picks are based on players who left in the previous free agency, not the current one.

Nick is right. Its free agents for last year. But, Atogwe was released and only players that have expired contracts can lead to compensatory picks. Its a weird formula based on how many free agents a team loses, signs, and what type of free agents they are. For example, next year the Texans will probably get a third rounder for losing Mario, and will probably get another pick for TE Dreessen, but won't get anything for OT Winston who signed with KC because he was released.

If a certain threshold of teams don't meet the total number of compensatory picks that are to be allotted, the worst teams in the league get the rest of the picks. Since Indy and the Rams have the last two picks, I think its fair to say that is exactly what happened. The Rams signed a ton of free agents last year so they wouldn't be able to get a compensatory pick the 'real' way.

The Rams have a ton of free agents this year, so they might get a few compensatory picks next year. I doubt it though since none of them except OLB Chamberlain and WR Lloyd have signed with anyone.

Apparently it was just a sympathy pick to round out the 7th round I read , lol.

Man, cant wait to get away from this sympathy stuff. Time to be winners again!
