NFL NETWORK: Saints sign McCRay
Saints signed DE Bobby McCray, formerly of the Jaguars, to a five-year, $20 million contract. The deal includes $5 million in the first year.
McCray, only 26 and 6'6/260, has nice upside, but gave inconsistent effort as a Jag. He seemed to only produce when he was playing every down. McCray had 17 sacks from 2005-2006, but only three in 2007. He will be a situational end behind starters Will Smith and Charles Grant. The Saints hope he'll apply a pass rush to remove pressure from their heavy-footed corners. Mar. 2 - 5:38 pm et

Very interesting, as they already have two first round, highly paid defensive ends. Perhaps this signals that Will Smith will not be resigned when his contract is up.
