Trying to project all seven rounds - particulary in January - is beyond silly.

    Re: NFLDraftShowcase's 2005 7-Round Mock Draft (1/18/05)

While Jammal Brown is a tempting pick I still think the Rams should draft the best defensive player on the board with their first round pick. And no way do I pass on Marlin Jackson, a player who can project as a starter at either CB or Safety. Also strong possibility that he could be like Aeneas and play FS on running downs and move to slot corner on passing downs. Our defense needs this kind of player.

    WHAT SAY YE?

yea, but it's something to do....and then if we actually guess one right, we can come back to this thread and say "hey, I picked that back in January".

And as we all know, self-recognition of accurate speculation is more than a hobby around here.

    Re: NFLDraftShowcase's 2005 7-Round Mock Draft (1/18/05)

After going OT, CB, C, and with Lance Mitchell and Barrett Ruud on the board, we go FS. I don't think so. If our 2nd 3rd rounder comes up with those two guys on the board, we flip a coin and take one of them.

Regarding that second rounder, I'm not a big fan of DB's from Nebraska, Groce included.

...I didn't write this mock. It's from NFL Draft Showcase (http://www.draftshowcase.com). That's why the title reads "NFLDraftShowcase's 2005 7-Round Mock Draft."

    Re: NFLDraftShowcase's 2005 7-Round Mock Draft (1/18/05)

they have us drafting a wr and a qb...we dont need any even in the late rounds we have plenty id much rather have more linemen picked...use those late picks on the best looking linement in the draft and see which one pans out instead of getting yet another wr and qb...sheesh.....if i was drafting id go offensive linemen and defence the entire draft....
