Nick's "Four Mocks in Four Days" Fourth & Final Option: WR Justin Blackmon
Barely made it! Wednesday night brings the fourth and final installment of my Four Mocks in Four Days challenge, where I’ve tried to present four different scenarios to Rams fans with four different first round picks.
This mock, which has the Rams taking Justin Blackmon in the first round, will likely be my final mock of the 2012 NFL Draft season, and I feel represents my most accurate guess as to how a trade-less (and thus already inaccurate) draft may go down. Thanks to those who have been reading and providing comments and criticisms along the way!

Re: Nick's "Four Mocks in Four Days" Fourth & Final Option: WR Justin Blackmon
This is the best Mock.
Solve's alot of problems or needs right away.
You gave one of my favorite players to Texans at 58. I would love to see A.J. Jenkins fall to the Rams in the third. That is just icing on the cake to get Blackmon and Jenkins.
I still think Browns take Blackmon at four. I hope they don't.
Blackmon to Rams:DPlease!
Holmgren still pissed at Rams for not trading with Browns. If RG3 plays really good this year Holmgren gets fired for trying to play hardball.
Sorry about your LUCK.

Nice mock... when is your final mock coming out for the Rams? My guess is this your first three picks.
Re: Nick's "Four Mocks in Four Days" Fourth & Final Option: WR Justin Blackmon
Awesome mock Nick.
I would honestly prefer Dont'a Hightower with the second pick and draft a DT in the 3rd. I think Hightower would be a steal at 39.
Having said that, I would be very pleased if all went according to plan.

I don't know much more about Hightower than I've read, no film studies here, but my understanding is that he doesn't project well moving to the outside. Laurinitis is a beast at MLB, and if Hightower can't play the outside it would be wasting the pick.
Edit: I guess it wouldn't be wasting it, but we wouldn't be getting good value with other players on the board who could help us more.
Re: Nick's "Four Mocks in Four Days" Fourth & Final Option: WR Justin Blackmon
Certainly my favorite of the 4, Nick. Three solid picks who could very well all be starters during their rookie season. And, though beyond the scope of your exercise, I couldn't help but notice that Wagner is there for us in the 3rd. Very nice!

I like that mock the best too. There would be some great Round 3 options there as well, including Bobby Wagner, Chris Givens and LaMichael James.

I'm not a big fan of James in round 3 even. Just not a fan of him as an NFL prospect.

:off topic:
Amazing, how the NFL Draft has reached this level of TV interest and hype! Radio City red carpet, etc.x3. I wonder about those Draft Day TV commercials, the publicity, going up, up, up.
Talk about a career day for the rookies.
