Re: Nick's Post Regular Season Top 20 Pick Projection
Warmack.....love it.
Still available for our 2nd pick..... Kenny Vacarro, Eric Reid, Tyler Eifert, Jon Banks (not that CB is a big need), Tavon Austin, Terrance Williams, Cordarrelle Patterson (talk about upside).
A lot to love there, brother."Before the gates of excellence the high gods have placed sweat; long is the road thereto and rough and steep at first; but when the heights are reached, then there is ease, though grievously hard in the winning." --- Hesiod

Re: Nick's Post Regular Season Top 20 Pick Projection
Makes a lot of sense going with Warmack at #16. That is where DeCastro went last year, I believe. Also agree with HUb about who to go for with our 2nd first round pick. Looks like a good off-season for us.
Go Rams!

Re: Nick's Post Regular Season Top 20 Pick Projection
Not to upset Nick but when it's all said and done... I just don't think Geno will be #1 pick worthy.* It may very well depend on the new coach but I think they will find another qb some way some how. : )

Re: Nick's Post Regular Season Top 20 Pick Projection
I love the Warmack pick, he'd definitely help give our line the nastiness it needs, both in the running and passing game. I say with our 2nd pick, we either get a stud safety or receiver. I'd prefer the Rams get the best available FA's at the WR/S position, and then draft whatever position the don't address thru free agency (I'd loooove for them to get Jarius Byrd from Buffalo, he just always seems to be round the ball). If all the good WR's are taken, I'd even settle for a pass-catching TE; a 2-TE system (Kendricks/Eiffert or Ertz) with Givens, Amendola, Pettis, & Quick rotating on the outside wouldn't break records but it would be pretty good.

Re: Nick's Post Regular Season Top 20 Pick Projection
Would Warmack replace Dahl or Turner? Imo Turner has been the superior guard. If he replaces Dahl, does Dahl kick out to RT?
I wouldn't mind Warmack, but I think Barry Richardson is more of a liability than either of our guards."The potential in our lives far exceeds what we ordinarily imagine."

Re: Nick's Post Regular Season Top 20 Pick Projection
It's about time we start getting some quality depth and Turner would be a superior backup if this was the case for our interior line. Competition is always a good thing to push the starters to.
Hey Nick havn't had time this year to research alot of the draft class, what do you think about Safties coming out that would be a good/realistic target for us?

Interesting. I thought going into next season that the Rams would be OG rich with Turner, Rok, Dahl and Williams. Certainly would mind this though.

no DeAndre Hopkins top 20? Is this because he hasn't declared?

Do you think Warmack will get past the Saints. I realize they need help on both lines but I would be suprise if they pass on Warmack.

Re: Nick's Post Regular Season Top 20 Pick Projection
There are some decent options. Reid, Elam, and Vaccaro all have shots at being first round picks, but I wouldn't force it if the value isn't great b/c there are some decent prospects who should be available on Day Two (Phillip Thomas, Tony Jefferson, Bacarri Rambo, Robert Lester).
There will be some intriguing names in free agency as well. Don't be surprised if Jeff Fisher gives Louis Delmas a long look if he hits the market, since he's coming from Schwartz's defense and Schwartz used to coach under Fisher. Durability is a concern there, though.
You don't alter your personnel needs because of Chris Williams, and I don't think Rok has done enough to warrant that, either. Dahl is a staple on the right side, but there is a clear need at left guard. I'd rather see Turner compete at center, where according to Pro Football Focus, he graded out much better than Scott Wells did. If Wells wins, then Turner becomes a very valuable back-up for the OL injuries we seem to be cursed with on a regular basis.
No, he's not currently in my Top 20 projection at this time. Only one receiver is, and he's at #17. I'm not overly impressed with this class, but I think there are some guys who could work their way into the bottom half of the first round, Hopkins being one of them. The offseason process will be very important for him. Will he keep the momentum from that bowl game going, or will he show some cracks in the armor? I'm looking to see how he measures in at the combine.
Between Grubbs and Evans, I don't see much need for the Saints at guard.
