Nick's Updated Second Round Mock Draft

With Round One of the 2011 NFL Draft officially in the books, and Round Two and Three set to kick off within the next hour and a half, I thought I'd try my luck at an updated Round Two mock based on who is available. No trades, which will make this rather unrealistic, but here's the scenario I came up with. Enjoy!

    33. New England Patriots (f/CAR): Brooks Reed, LB, Arizona
-Provides a much needed pass rush to the Patriots defense.

    34. Buffalo Bills: Kyle Rudolph, TE, Notre Dame
-Instantly becomes the top tight end in Buffalo.

    35. Cincinnati Bengals: Andy Dalton, QB, TCU
-Bengals gambled by passing on a QB in Round One, and it pays off.

    36. Denver Broncos: Marvin Austin, DT, North Carolina
-Denver opted for a linebacker in Round One over Dareus, but find DT help here.

    37. Cleveland Browns: Da’Quan Bowers, DE, Clemson
-Bowers could have been Cleveland's first round pick; instead they get him in Round Two.

    38. Arizona Cardinals: Akeem Ayers, LB, UCLA
-Perfect fit for the Cardinals' defense as a rush 'backer.

    39. Tennessee Titans: Bruce Carter, LB, North Carolina
-The Titans need an upgrade at outside linebacker, and Carter has first round talent.

    40. Dallas Cowboys: Aaron Williams, DB, Texas
-Cowboys have needs at CB or S, and Williams could play either.

    41. Washington Redskins: Colin Kaepernick, QB, Nevada
-Mike Shanahan gets his athletic quarterback in Round Two.

    42. Houston Texans: Justin Houston, LB, Georgia
-Houston may be too desperate for pass rush help to pass on the Georgia linebacker here.

    43. Minnesota Vikings: Stephen Paea, DT, Oregon State
-Paea could step in and help replace the departing Pat Williams at nose tackle.

    44. Detroit Lions: Brandon Harris, CB, Miami
-After passing on Amukamara, the Lions land CB help in Harris.

    45. San Francisco *****: Mikel Leshoure, RB, Illinois
-Leshoure gives the ***** insurance in case Frank Gore isn't brought back after 2011.

    46. Denver Broncos (f/MIA): Martez Wilson, LB, Illinois
-John Fox reportedly thinks Wilson could be Denver's version of Jon Beason.

    47. St. Louis Rams: Torrey Smith, WR, Maryland
-Rams land a talented pass catcher to help Sam Bradford.

    48. Oakland Raiders: Rodney Hudson, C, Florida State
-Hudson provides immediate help at either center or guard for Oakland.

    49. Washington Redskins (f/JAX): Ras-I Dowling, CB, Virginia
-Carlos Rogers and Phillip Buchanon could be leaving as free agents.

    50. San Diego Chargers: Jabaal Sheard, LB, Pittsburgh
-Sheard is great value here as a possible conversion to 3-4 OLB.

    51. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Davon House, CB, New Mexico State
-The Aqib Talib situation makes CB a pressing need in Tampa.

    52. New York Giants: Stefan Wisniewski, C, Penn State
-Giants passed on OL help in Round One to take a CB, so they may address it here.

    53. Indianapolis Colts: Titus Young, WR, Boise State
-More protection for Peyton in Round One, more weapons for Peyton in Round Two.

    54. Philadelphia Eagles: Mason Foster, LB, Washington
-Foster is a capable linebacker who should make an early impact in Philly.

    55. Kansas City Chiefs: Ben Ijalana, OL, Villanova
-Ijalana gives the Chiefs some much needed talent on the right side of their line.

    56. New England Patriots (f/NO): Jarvis Jenkins, DE, Clemson
-Jenkins could fit in nicely as part of the Patriots' three-man defensive front.

    57. Seattle Seahawks: Ryan Mallett, QB, Arkansas
-Seahawks get their franchise QB and end Mallett's freefall.

    58. Baltimore Ravens: Randall Cobb, WR, Kentucky
-Cobb has some speed, which the Ravens would love offensively.

    59. Cleveland Browns (f/ATL): Leonard Hankerson, WR, Miami
-Hankerson is a nice fit in Cleveland's new West Coast Offense.

    60. New England Patriots: Ryan Williams, RB, Virginia Tech
-Hard to pass up on Williams' value here, even if this isn't a huge need.

    61. San Diego Chargers (f/NYJ): Orlando Franklin, OL, Miami
-Franklin is a pretty good value and gives the Chargers some OL versatility.

    62. Chicago Bears: Drake Nevis, DT, LSU
-Nevis could be a nice fit in a Chicago system built around penetration.

    63. Pittsburgh Steelers: Curtis Brown, CB, Texas
-Brown provides the Steelers with a capable defender opposite of Ike Taylor.

    64. Green Bay Packers: Dontay Moch, LB, Nevada
-A nice fit rushing the passer in Green Bay's 3-4 defense.

Would love Ryan Williams if it falls that way. I have a serious man crush on him.

Any chance of a trade up for Paea? I know you didn't use trades, just wondering your feelings on it?
