Not big fans?
" From what sources in St. Louis tell me, Snead and Fisher are not big Justin Blackmon fans. I think Brockers is their guy if they keep pick "
- Matt Miller , (@NFLDraftScout)
Interesting to say the least. I still really want Claiborne to drop to #6. And like I said in another thread, its possible. If the Bucs can land Finnegan in FA (there one team thats pursuing hard), than Cleveland takes Blackmon, Buccaneers take TRICH, and Claiborne falls to us.

Re: Not big fans?
No one is ever big fans of anyone before the draft. Then afterward the guy they ended up with is who they wanted all along.
Still, I could see us taking Brockers at 6 or even dropping again and seeing if he's there or taking someone else.

Re: Not big fans?
Id be stunned if Blackmon is on the board at 6, if Claiborne is gone, and he's not the pick.

Re: Not big fans?
Rams WRs coach Ray Sherman praised Oklahoma State WR Justin Blackmon following his Friday Pro Day performance, which included a 4.46 forty time.
“I coached a Hall of Famer in Jerry Rice,” Sherman said. “Everybody said he wasn’t fast, and all I know is when he caught (the ball) nobody could catch him … this guy — Justin Blackmon — is a football player.” Sherman did admit, however, that it was “good to see him run the way he did.”
Heres at least one person with the Rams who showed some interest.
Im still high on the Blackmon bandwagon.

Re: Not big fans?
Could be smoke, could be fire. Could be the infamous "league sources" BS. No one knows at this point.
According to the Post Dispatch, the Rams sent receivers coach Ray Sherman, director of college scouting John Mancini, and director of player personnel Lawrence McCutcheon to Blackmon's pro day. That certainly reads like an interested team to me, and I'd bet the Rams like Blackmon more at six than they did at two.
As for Matt Miller, he still has Alshon Jeffery ranked as his #1 WR and is a Top 20 pick in his latest mock. He also feels the Rams would be in trouble if they don't re-sign Brandon Lloyd. I'm not sure I would agree there, and with all indications being that the Rams aren't tripping over themselves to get a deal worked out, the organization may not agree either.

Re: Not big fans?
If WR Blackmon and CB Claiborne are gone. I want the Rams to trade down. Only if the Rams don't go past K.C. Cheifs at Eleven for more picks.
Rams still get a chance at WR Michael Floyd, DT Fletcher Cox, DT Michael Brockers, DT Dontari Poe, OT Jonathon Martin, RB Trent Richardson and OT Reily Reif. Maybe get another 2nd round pick in this years draft.
I don't think the Rams will draft one of the DE's coming out in the Draft.

Re: Not big fans?
Matt Miller is a BleacherReport guy who has been downgrading Blackmon for months. He doesn't have a source.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

Re: Not big fans?
Blackmon is a straight up football player. I love that our WR coach coached Jerry Rice... he could be trusted on knowing what a quality WR is
