    Not Good on James Butler...

    Just read this off rotoworld

Free agent S James Butler may visit the Browns later Saturday.
Butler is in St. Louis, but it appears he's far apart in contract talks with the Rams. Butler is a solid, if unspectacular, option to start at safety.

Re: Not Good on Jason Butler...

There are more details to be had if you actually follow the link Rotoworld lists as a source rather than just copy and paste their two-line summary. Here's the full information regarding Butler and the Rams from the Newark Star-Ledger ...

Free agent safety James Butler is still visiting the Rams in St. Louis, but by the end of the day, he might be in Cleveland talking to the Browns.

Butler's agent, Carl Poston, said this morning he and his brother, Kevin, are talking contract with St. Louis. But it doesn't sound like the negotiations are very hot.

"Well, we're talking. We're still a bit apart," Poston said. "You know how it is with these things: sometimes it's tough to tell if you're 5 yards apart, 10 yards apart or whatever."

When asked if he expected Butler to sign with the Rams and their new head coach Steve Spagnuolo, who was Butler's defensive coordinator with the Giants for the past two seasons, Poston said, "No, I don't think a deal will be struck today."
The fact that his agents are the Postons does not leave me optimistic.

Well the fact that his agents are going public with it is probally cause he wants to be a ram he just wants the money. So by doing this maybe it vaults the Rams in to stepping up the dollar. Or so his agents hope.

This guy is a Poston client!?!?!?!

Bill, walk away from the table now. I don't care who the guy is, if he is in the Poston stable, he is not worth it!

Kick them out of your office now, Bill!

What is the history behind the Poston's? Either way, Butler was only intriguing from his NYG roots but not at all unhappy we might not land him.

The Rams need to get Butler in a room alone with Orlando who'll soon straighten JB out about his choice of agents.

Butler would be nice but i wouldn't lose a night of sleep if we don't get him. Knowing the system is nice but it's not worth paying a lot more than his skill level justifies.

105% of all contract negotiations that stall out or are marred by some crazy butt demands are linked to either the Postons or Rosenhaus. For example, when all the nonsense with Pace a few years back was going on, he was a Poston client. Once he kicked them to the curb, a long-term contract was reached.

    Pace? Postons.
    The T.O. Saga? Rosenhaus.

    Global Warming? ... Uh, Postons.

You name it, these guys are behind it.

Leeches of sociey, no real purpose in th world, other than to increase the cost of a game ticket. In a couple years we can see JB in NO , when the Rams are in the Super Bowl.
