This is pretty simple. If you want any of the top free agents to sign with the team, there's only one way to do it: DON'T LET 'EM LEAVE TOWN!!! If, say, Nate Clements or Eric Steinbach or Patrick Kerney comes to Rams Park, do whatever it takes to sign them to a contract before they leave. Bring the cheerleaders! Buy them steak and lobster! Chain them to a desk!
Just don't let them leave!
