OFFENSIVE LINE . what we have ?, what we need ! .

In a few day's it seems that the market will be open for business , and the RAMS need some groceries , REAL REAL BAD !! so let us help each other find what our line will look like this year , and what it could with the right draft and FA pickup . let us stay with the O-LINE and not the whole team .


THESE are the lineman that i think we have , and what the team might do.

OT- PACE G - INCOGNITO C - ROMBERG
OT- BARRON G - SETTERSTROM C - MCCOLLUM
OT- STEUSSIE G - BROWN C - LECKEY
OT- GORIN G - FRY

Now it seems McCOLLUM is on call / retired/kindawannabut / yea i'll play . ON the other hand , ROMBERG may try FA . and STEUSSIE is or isn't retiring , we don't know yet . as for the rest of the players we grabbed off the street , linehan said they all deserve a look too see if they belong .

so you guy's give it up and let me know what you think our line should look like this year. who we keep and who is gone .

The Ravens only put a Second round tender on their left guard brown. He is a mauler and I mean why not sign him? That would give us a great left side to run on and when/if barron moves we would have a nice young tandem over there.

I personally haven't been bowled over by Romberg and he is a bit lite.

So what about this:

ya know i was toying with the nothion of COGS at center, gut guard is his best and strongest position .

I hate to burst everyone's bubbles, but we won't be able to afford either Faneca or Faine, little lone BOTH of them.

I fully expect to see our starting line be Pace - Setterstrom - Romberg - Cogs - Barron, for the simple fact that Romberg will try FA, but who'll want one of our linemen? He'll be back. I can see us picking up one or maybe, just maybe two, moderately priced good depth players, but no one on the Jeff Faine or Alan Faneca level.

Yours and everyone else's thoughts on Scott the UFA from Indy?

we could always ignore the offensive line needs and work exclusively out of the double trips formation

I'd like to see the rams grab Casey Wiegmann, if not as a starter at centre but certainly as a capable back-up
