Re: The Official 2011 NFL Combine Thread

Im depressed but I am very happy about Jones' showing today. Depressed because he did so unbelievable he may not last to us anymore. Happy because if we do take him its great to see a guy like him team up with a guy like Bradford.

Man I wish we could get 2 lower first round picks.....with Hankerson's showing., and Torrey Smith there are 4 WR's in the first Round and over 10 DT/DE guys that can play.,

and Titus Young's 4.43 drops him into 3rd round with many WR's looking better than his light frame

Re: The race for the #1 WR in the draft...

I agree, but things can change alot between now & draft day. Although I try to stay out of the whole "who will we pick thing", now I'm thinking it may be Stephen Paea.

Don't see DeMarco Murry's unofficial 4.38 in any of the above reports. He completed a full senior season at OU healthy...kind of a Mr. Inside & Outside in one back, plus a slot receiver and kick-off returner. somewhat in the Percy Harvin mold but stronger....heck, just as fast! A lot of utilization out of one roster spot. Notable pass blocker in OU's pass happy offense too.

I don't think he is anything like Percy Harvin. He run straight up with a burst and catches balls. He is like a McFadden

A few of the guys love DeMarco, and a few want us to draft him in Rd. 2 or 3(although there is a slim chance he'll drop to Rd. 3). Nothing agaisnt Murray its just that most of us had been focusing on our 1st pick in this years draft.

A couple of my favorites, Leonard Hankerson (4.43) and Jordan Todman (4.40) peformed very well. The idea of a DE in Round 1, and those two in Rounds 2 and 3 (if they are still there) sounds pretty darn good to me.

Re: The Official 2011 NFL Combine Thread

Right on AV, Todman is definitely the best non-first round back in the draft. I was really impressed with what he did at the combine. Kendall Hunter is pretty close behind him. I know Murray performed well at the 40, but he doesn't really have a lot of lateral ability like other rb's.
I was also really impressed with Marcus Cannon at guard. He looks thinner and runs better than Hudson, and is almost 60 pounds heavier. This draft would be awesome for me with Cannon and Todman rounds 2-4.
