Brockers measuring in at 6'7" 322 with 35-inch arms, wow. I really believe he's a dark horse for the Rams if they trade with the Dolphins or even the Redskins.

Yup. This kid measures in as a monster! Very long arms, and hes massive. Like you said, if we drop down far enough, he very well may be our pick.

Re: The Official 2012 NFL Combine Thread

Brockers could easily be the Rams first round pick, even if we trade with Cleveland. He's a beast and would be pretty good beside Long. He measured in at 6'5 though.

DeCastro and Kalil had really good days. They are by far the best two offensive line prospects in the draft.
Cordy Glenn and Kelechi Osemele had good combines too. Both are huge power guys with extremely long arms and good athleticism for their size. I would be really happy taking Glenn at 22 and making him our right tackle if we take Brockers or Blackmon at 4. He and Dahl would make a beastly right side of the line.

I really question Mike Adams work ethic and have never been overly impressed with him. I wasn't very excited seeing him mocked to us at 22 on most mocks. Charles Davis and Mike Mayock were both critical of him also. I would absolutely not spend a first round pick on him. He has red flags all over.

Kalil, DeCastro, Reiff, Martin, and Glenn are the only linemen I would personally take in the first. Osemele and Konz would have second round grades.

I agree. Cordy Glenn has looked the most impressive in the Combine thus far. I would like to see him in the Blue and Gold. He will be a monster in the NFL.

Stephen Hill (Georgia Tech) 6'4 WR just ran a 4.3. He just bought himself into the conversation of being a late 1st early 2nd round pick. He is looking like Calvin Johnson (both went to GT).

Michael Floyd also ran a 4.42. Killer time for him.

When i cheked the 40 times i was amazed he ran that. especially considering his size. Those are C.Johnson type numbers, definatly helped himself out big time right there. ant wait to see Streeter's time.

Hill's 10 yard split was a 1.2 which is probably the record. Unbelievable and he's now a sure thing to be drafted in the top 50, and probably the first round.

There's a lot to like about Hill, who I would strongly consider in the second round. Comparing him to Calvin Johnson, though, seems rather off to me. He's not been that dominant nor is he as complete a prospect coming out. Let's also keep in mind that Megatron ran a 4.35 at nearly 240 pounds, whereas Hill is running one at 215. I think he's a lot closer to Demaryius Thomas than he is Megatron, especially when you consider how raw both Hill and the former were coming out of that Georgia Tech offense.

As for Floyd, those are certainly positive numbers but the question becomes why don't you see that type of speed on film. Now it's time to go back and rewatch some of his work at ND, and investigate whether or not he's a 4.4 guy on the field. I never got the impression that he was, but that's what the Combine is for - confirming your assessment or forcing you to reassess. We'll be doing the same thing for Blackmon when he runs in a couple of weeks.

Wow, after, Hill ran back to back 4.3's, he made an amazing catch in the qb and wr on-field drill. His stock is definatly skyrocketing today.

I meant from a numbers and measurement stand point he compares to Megatron. Megatron was a lot more complete coming out, hence why he was picked #2. Hill is raw but he has the ability to be a threat.

Plus I really like Floyd. Today is doing nothing but cementing it.

Except for him being 20+ pounds lighter than Johnson, which is a big difference. Hill came in at 6036 & 215 pounds. That's a lot closer to Thomas (6032 & 224) than Megatron (6050 & 239).

The speed is impressive, but we knew he can take it deep. Guy averaged 29.3 yards per reception to lead the NCAA. That's what he was asked to do at Georgia Tech. Now he's got to answer some questions about the route tree and how raw he is in other areas.

He's definitely having a good showing, and as someone who slotted him in the second round already, I'm definitely keeping him there. Whether the Rams are interested or not, we'll have to see. He's not as NFL ready as some other receiving prospects, but the natural ability is very intriguing.

Re: The Official 2012 NFL Combine Thread

I've been championing the double trade down to the 10-15 range for Floyd, and I know it's just a timed speed that doesn't matter when the pads come on, but Floyd has looked good.

He has some maturity issues, but he plays taller than he measured and ran faster than he played, so there's some questions there, but I would be very happy with him in the first in the top 15 as long as there are no red flags due to maturity.
    I believe!

Re: The Official 2012 NFL Combine Thread

Michael Floyd's interview and medical check are probably just as important if not more so than the forty. If those check out, and the Rams somehow find themselves in the 10-20 range, I think he's in play. From a fan's perspective, it's tough to see him making it beyond the Bears @ 19.

Luck running a sub 4.6 forty was rather impressive. I think all the RGIII hype makes you forget that Luck is a pretty good athlete himself.

Heres another deep field threat like Hill.

    Tommy Streeter
    6'5
    219
    4.34 unoffical

Kendall wright ran a 4.45. I was expecting a faster from him. Dont think he helped his stock with that 40 time.
