Re: The Official 2012 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
I just had to stop in and read some of the madness and haven't been let down at all. The knee jerk reactions and jersey burners are always good for a chuckle or two. I was disappointed to see Blackmon go to the Jags, but I am also a believer in putting the fundamentals in place first and building from the inside out. Three of the first thirteen picks tomorrow will be fun to watch and until then I might drop in from time to time just to smile a bit!!!

Oh, and e) that the projected 2nd round picks are expected to be starters THIS year.
Re: The Official 2012 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
When was David Decastro projected to be picked?

Is this sarcasm? WR in a later round? Wow. Painful.

Or we could have drafted a wr who sat on the sidelines while teams just ran the ball down our throat. Also probably close to half the wrs drafted in the 1st round turn out to be busts.
Re: The Official 2012 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
The NFL network just sang our first pick praises. Are we going to go schizophrenic based on everything said by these guys on TV & radio all weekend? I don't get it...I gotta believe that Fisher believes in his staff enough to coach these players picked based on their abilities and plans on defense. There's always players available in the second, third, & fourth rounds...it' just the facts.

I remember when Chris Long was "a sure thing" and then he was a "bust" and then I remember his season last year and his continued and obvious improvement. I remember when Kurt Warner was a random backup Quarter Back and Ryan Leaf was the next best thing since sliced bread.
How about we just calm down and wait instead of *freaking out?*
Im not sure who declared Long a "bust"...ever. Warner WAS a random backup...who was surrounded by HOFers and All Pros.
Frankly, nobody is "freaking out". Many of us have seen this movie before and are expressing that feeling. Of course, you dont want to hear it. You sing your pie in the sky, rose colored glasses tune and carry on. Some of us will express what the rest of the OBJECTIVE football world is (and has been) saying about the Rams. It hardly means we are any less "calm" than you. We are just tired of seeing the debacle. I know...these later picks will be "great" and fill all kinds of needs. FINGERS CROSSED!! LOL!

Yeah but the Rams never find Pro Bowl caliber players in those later rounds. We have a new regime I know, but having a new regime is also exactly why I'm not going to jump up and down with joy over their decision making, especially if I personally beleive the Rams have made a bad choice.
The #45 pick isn't worth Claiborne right now IMO
Obviously, who knows how these guys are playing years from now, but I'm not typing years from now. I'm voicing my opinion right now.
Re: The Official 2012 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
hey i heard we are drafting some great wrs in the 2nd, names like Greg Salas and Austin Pettis. GREAT TALENT IN 2nd ROUND!

The problem isn't drafting Brockers it's missing out on Blackman and Floyd. Evidently Brockers was plan C.
Re: The Official 2012 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
The Titans pick WR K. Wright! That was ag poor pick for them at that position! That's a joke!

Jesus, have you read any of my posts at all? I haven't said "I REALLY LIKE THIS PICK WE'RE GONNA BE AWESOME!" All I've said since my first post in this thread is that people should calm down. As for "none of us are freaking out." Ok. What is a call to "burn my jerseys" then? If someone is threatening to leave their team over 1 pick in a draft, I call that freaking out.
