Re: Official ClanRam Scouts (2 Round) Mock Draft
With the 45th pick, The San Francisco ***** select:

Ricky Stanzi, QB, Iowa
I don't know if I buy into the hype about Stanzi, but what I do buy into is the theory that the ***** need a Quarterback. In all honesty, this would be a horrid situation for the '9ers, who would have watched all of the best QB prospects slide off of the draft board. Stanzi is a guy who carries a 2nd/3rd round grade in some circles, and I'm betting that the ***** will be desperate enough to pull the trigger.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts (2 Round) Mock Draft
With the 46th pick, The Denver Broncos select:
MIKEL LeSHOURE, RB, ILLINOIS
New headcoach John Fox loves utilizing the multiple runningback system. Also with Leshoure in the backfield the Broncos won't be completely lost if and when Knowshon Moreno gets hurt.Last edited by AvengerRam; -04-12-2011 at 09:57 AM.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts (2 Round) Mock Draft
With the 47th pick of the 2011 ClanRam Scouts Mock Draft, the St. louis Rams select:
Kyle Rudolph TE, Notre Dame
While this pick may surprise some Rams observers, Rudolph is arguably the BPA at this point, and while seemingly well stocked at the TE position, it really breaks down to this; one good one, one journeyman, one with potential (who cannot stay on the field), and one athletically-gifted project.
The available OLB's are really tweeners in the 3-4, Darby's OK, and the hot CB has an injury history, (knee, ankle and hammy). No sure thing WRs, and the stud DT may be pillar-averse. Oh, BTW, ask Rivers or Romo how much peace of mind a great TE will give a QB.Last edited by AvengerRam; -04-12-2011 at 03:54 PM.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts (2 Round) Mock Draft
With the 48th pick in the NFL draft the Oakland Raiders select
Marcus Cannon, OG/OT, TCU
No one know what the Raiders will do, and with Torry Smith on the board they will probably select him. I will think as a sensible person instead of Al Davis and select Cannon. RT Langston Walker and LG Robbert Galery are both UFAs. Cannon can play both of those positions and keep Oaklands strong running game going

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts (2 Round) Mock Draft
With the 49th pick, the Jax Jaguars select....

Ras-I Dowling, DB, Virginia
As one NFL Scout put it, "it is no exageration to say the Jaguars have the worst safeties in the league." It would have been nice to have a shot at Moore or Williams, but with the top 2 safeties off the board, the value pick is the top CB (which they also need).Last edited by AvengerRam; -04-12-2011 at 05:57 PM.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts (2 Round) Mock Draft
With the 50th pick, the San Diego Chargers select...

Brooks Reed - OLB - Arizona
This is a great scenario for San Diego. They got their defensive lineman in the first round, and then waited patiently in round two for a pass rusher to fall to them. Fortunately, Reed - a possible round one consideration for some teams - lasted all the way until pick 50.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts (2 Round) Mock Draft
With the 51st pick, the Tampa Bay Bucs select:
Johnny Patrick, CB, Louisville
Aquib Talib can't seem to stay out of trouble, and Ronde Barber is... what... 57 years old? CB suddenly is much higher on their need list. Patrick isn't a burner, but has solid skills.Last edited by AvengerRam; -04-12-2011 at 10:05 PM.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts (2 Round) Mock Draft
There was a glitch w/Bar-bq's pick, so I'm going to jump in and keep this party going...
With the 52nd pick in the draft, the New York Giants select:

Marvin Austin, DT, North Carolina
I think the concensus on Austin is that he has Round 1 talent, but questionable effort/character ratings. Still, at this point in the draft, the Giants, who may lose Barry Coefield to FA, could do a lot worse.
Welcome to the St. Louis Rams!

With the 53rd pick, the Indianapolis Colts select:
TORREY SMITH, WR, MARYLAND
Reggie Wayne is old.
Anthony Gonzalez is always hurt.
Austin Collie suffers a concussion every other game.
Enough said.Last edited by AvengerRam; -04-13-2011 at 05:46 PM.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts (2 Round) Mock Draft
With the 54th pick in the 2011 ClanRam Mock draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select:
Davon House CB, New Mexico State
This kid is good, and Philly's desparately in need of a CB. He plays to his potential, this guy's a potential, (even though it's second round), steal. Not a great tackler, but then neither was Sanders. I think the rest of Philly's secondary will remind him occasionally of who he's playing for.Last edited by AvengerRam; -04-13-2011 at 10:33 PM.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts (2 Round) Mock Draft
With the 55th pick in the NFL Draft the Kansas City Chiefs Select
Jabaal Sheard, DE/OLB, Pittsburgh
Sheard was a beast in the Big Beast even after highly touted book end Greg Romeus went down and he began to draw all the attention. Sheard is the BPA and fills a big need. The Chiefs don't have anything across from Tamba Hali who is a beast. Sheard gives the chiefs a feared pass rushing duo in the budding young defense.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts (2 Round) Mock Draft
With pick #56, the New Orleans Saints select:

Martez Wilson, LB, Illinois
Vilma's great. Shanle is adequate. But I don't think the dynamic duo of Danny Clark and Jo-Lon Dunbar is what N'awlins fans have in mind. Wilson is a big hitting thumper that will need to find a little discipline on and off the field to reach full potential. But if he does, he will be an excellent compliment to Vilma.Last edited by AvengerRam; -04-14-2011 at 08:51 AM.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts (2 Round) Mock Draft
With the 57th pick, the Seattle Seahawks select...

Ben Ijalana - OL - Villanova
The Seahawks have their left tackle of the future in Russell Okung, but they have holes across the rest of the offensive line. Ijalana could fit in at either offensive guard spot or could try his hand at right tackle. He's excellent value at this point in the draft, and fills a big need for a team needing to better protect their future quarterback Jake Locker (first round pick).

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts (2 Round) Mock Draft
With the 58th pick in the draft, the Baltimore Ravens select:

Randall Cobb, WR, Kentucky
The Ravens WR corps is very old, and that just won't do with an up-and-coming QB like Joe Flacco. Cobb is rising on many draft boards, and is regarded as a high-character player. He also can provide some special teams pop as a returner.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts (2 Round) Mock Draft
With the 59th Pick, the Atlanta Falcons select:

Titus Young, WR, Boise St.
Tough choice here between Young and Sam Acho. The Falcons have a greater need for a DE, but the value on Young here is outstanding. He's the speedy, deep-field compliment to Roddy White.
