Re: Official ClanRam Scouts Mock Draft Discussion Thread
This is much more elegant, and what I was trying to say. I guess I prefer Kerrigan right now because we have had great luck with the known commodities(i.e. Chris Long), but I would be happy either way. If these two are both on the board when we pick, it will be hard not to compare the two in coming years.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts Mock Draft Discussion Thread
Well, we've reached the end of Round 1.
Our Scouts see a strong prefererence for interior linemen (19/32 first picks) over skill position players (6/32 first picks).
There is some good talent still on the board, including Justin Houston, Ryan Mallett, Kyle Rudolph, Aaron Williams, Stephen Paea, Martez Wilson and Christian Ponder.
I suspect we'll also see a run on WRs and RBs in the second round, as there are still many good Day 2 options at those positions.
The New England Patriots, represented by VegasRam, are on the clock... (Again! Ugh!)
Stay tuned!Last edited by AvengerRam; -04-07-2011 at 09:20 AM.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts Mock Draft Discussion Thread
I would love to have Stephen Paea at 47. I don't think it would happen but he would be a huge steal in the second. How does anyone feel about 2 DL picks with the 1st and 2nd picks of our draft?

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts Mock Draft Discussion Thread
A real flurry of activity in the last couple of hours...
Two more QBs off the board (Kapernick, Ponder), but Ryan Mallett's free-fall continues.
A lot of options remain at RB, WR and LB.
We're starting to see the pairings now from Rounds 1/2. I like Denver's defensive boost in adding Patrick Peterson and Stephen Paea.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts Mock Draft Discussion Thread
2 Running Backs, and 2 wide Receivers left,* and Rams are 6 picks away, and Dallas doesn't need either one.
(I better do some research). IMO, Niners and Redskinns both need a receiver and a running back, but we'll see.
I want LeShoure, Williams, Smith and Hankerson, in that order. Stay tuned.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts Mock Draft Discussion Thread
With Jones gone in the first and now Hankerson gone in the second, this draft is not going to good for Sam.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts Mock Draft Discussion Thread
Dude - Hankerson's not gone yet, and Sam'll be fine.
I'm one of those who feels we're better at WR than the "conventional wisdom" would have us all think. That said, I still like Smith.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts Mock Draft Discussion Thread
Just picked by the Redskins in this mock. That leaves Torrey Smith and Titus Young as the two best receiving prospects on the board, with a few more picks until the Rams are on the clock.
Meanwhile, I'm hoping that when my next selection comes up and the Vikings are on the clock, Justin Houston will still be available. Not sure how he's lasted this long, but he's great value as a pass rusher for a Vikings team that needs to find someone opposite of Jared Allen.

Re: Official ClanRam Scouts Mock Draft Discussion Thread
One player who is still on the board who also might be worth a look for the Rams if he's not selected is Kyle Rudolph, TE, Notre Dame. While WR is definitely a bigger need than TE, Rudolph is regarded by many as a first round talent.
