Re: Official Pro Days Thread (with Schedule)
Tate improving his draft stock, might not last aslong as we think.Tate shines in Pro Day
Six seniors at Auburn University worked out indoors on FieldTurf for scouts from 28 NFL teams.
Running back Ben Tate weighed in at 219 pounds. Tate was a top performer at the NFL Scouting combine in six events, so he stood on his results from Indianapolis and looked very good in position drills.
DE/OLB Antonio Coleman (6-1, 248) ran a 4.78 and 4.77 40-yard dash, had a 33.5-inch vertical leap, 9-foot, 8-inch broad jump, 4.46 short shuttle, 7.09 three-cone drill and kept his bench press results from the combine.
Defensive back Walter McFadden (5-11, 181), who did not participate in the combine, ran a 4.40 and 4.43 40, had a 35.5 vertical leap, 10-foot, 3-inch broad jump, 4.31 short shuttle, 6.94 three-cone drill and completed five reps in the bench press.
Auburn’s pro day was well organized and ran quite smoothly. The organizers treated the scouts like royalty, setting up a fabulous BBQ lunch before the timing began.

Re: Official Pro Days Thread (with Schedule)
Gilyard will probably still go in the second. I still dont see anything special about Pike.Pike and Gilyard help each other at Pro Day
CINCINNATI — Tony Pike and Mardy Gilyard got another chance to impress NFL scouts, this time on their own turf. They think they
pulled it off together.
The quarterback and receiver who led Cincinnati to back-to-back Big East titles were the main feature at the university’s pro day on Wednesday. Twenty-six teams were represented, with ***** coach Mike Singletary in the crowd.
The highlight was Pike throwing various routes to Gilyard, reprising the combination that was one of the Big East’s best. They’re still learning NFL pass routes, which can be much different from the ones they used in college. Both talked to scouts afterward to get their appraisals.
Wearing black shorts and a white shirt on a mild day, Pike made all types of throws from midfield, occasionally missing players filling in as receivers. He showed he was still in sync with Gilyard, repeatedly hitting him in stride. Pike is making some adjustments to satisfy NFL teams, who wanted to see better spirals after his combine workout.
Gilyard is hoping to go in the first or second round. Several Bengals coaches attended the workout, though the team hasn’t given him any indication that it’s particularly interested. The Bengals could use a slot receiver and kick returner, and Gilyard would love to stay in town.

Re: Official Pro Days Thread (with Schedule)
Somebody in the clan pointed out Skelton before the combine. That person is looking pretty good right nowSkelton Impress's
Fordham University held its pro day workout on Tuesday, and quarterback John Skelton (6-5 3/8, 241) had a good workout in front of talent evaluators from nine NFL teams, including Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg and quarterbacks coach James Urban, Bengals quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese and Bills quarterbacks coach George Cortez.
Skelton, who was a top performer in four events at the combine, kept his numbers from Indianapolis but did passing drills, throwing to receivers from Columbia, Colgate and Fordham.
While Skelton</STRONG> stole the show, 27 other prospects from assorted schools also got a chance to work out in front of scouts. Among them:
» OL Andrew Tyshovnytsky (6-foor-4 1/4, 317 pounds), from Fordham, ran 4.91 and 4.94 seconds in the 40-yard dash, had a 28-inch vertical leap, 9-2 broad jump, 4.83 short shuttle, 7.99 cone drill, and had 33 reps in the bench press. He looked good in his position drills.
» WR Asa Lucas (5-10 3/4, 185), from Fordham, ran 4.69 and 4.69 in the 40, had a 34 1/2-inch vertical leap, a 9-5 broad jump and nine reps in the bench press.
» WR Patrick Simonds (6-5 1/4, 221), from Colgate, ran 4.66, 4.67 in the 40, had a 34 1/2-inch vertical leap, a 10-2 broad jump, 4.26 short shuttle, 6.84 three-cone drill and 24 reps in the bench press.
» DB Chris Richards ( 5-10 3/4, 181), who started his career at Michigan and then transferred to Stony Brook, ran a 4.45 and 4.50 in the 40, had a 35-inch vertical leap, 9-11 broad jump, 4.16 short shuttle, 6.97 three-cone drill and 16 bench press reps.

Re: Official Pro Days Thread (with Schedule)
I've read a few reports that have given mixed reviews to Dan LeFevour's workout. Apparently, his deep throws were a bit off the mark.

Re: Official Pro Days Thread (with Schedule)
Dez Bryant's stock continues to fall. Shorter than expected, slow 40 time. Not looking good for him at this point.

Early report on Colt McCoy's performance:
Texas QB McCoy shows accuracy, footwork at pro day
Posted: March 31st, 2010 | Gil Brandt | Tags: 2010 Pro Days, Colt McCoy, Texas
Colt McCoy might not have the strong arm that Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford displayed earlier in the week, but that shouldn’t detract from a fine performance in front of scouts from 30 NFL teams (the Lions and Rams were the only teams not in attendance).
Of the 58 passes that McCoy threw at Texas’ pro day Wednesday, none hit the ground. McCoy connected on every pass to his four receivers — Texas’ Jordan Shipley, ex-Longhorns WR Brian Carter, Bengals WR Quan Cosby and former Rams WR Nate Jones — none of whom dropped a single pass.
McCoy kept all of his workout numbers from last month’s NFL Scouting Combine, and he didn’t do any individual drills. However, the consensus was that he had really good feet and moved around well while throwing the ball.

Re: Official Pro Days Thread (with Schedule)
Everson Griffen improves on his time at the combine with an impressive 4.59. Looking less and less likely for him to slip to the 2nd, which is unfortunate but improves our chances of someone else whom is valuable will slip to us.USC 40 Time Pro Day Results: Griffen - 4.59 S. Johnson - 4.62 Harris - 4.59 Spicer - 5.03 K.Thomas - 4.43 Byers - 5.09 C. Brown
