Re: Ohio State's Ginn piques Rams' interest... or is it all smoke?

Well, let's put it like this. Hypathetically we get Ginn and let's just say anyone with that type of talent can learn the ways of being an NFL receiver, running routes correctly, crisp and clean... if they're taught well. Now let's just say Holt, Bruce and Ellard utilize that talent and it is used on the football field. Would you guys not want him at that point? I certainly would, it's a big IF, if all of that actually happens, and also with him getting healthier and whatnot. But I wouldn't mind seeing him in the horns if Holt, Bruce and Ellard can get him to run better routes and mature into a #1 receiver... Also keep in mind we would immediately be getting an upgrade at punt/kickoff returns, its certainly a nice offer....

i think theres some truth to it and some smoke also, alot depends on Jenkins, if we can make that deal i don't think selecting Ginn is that bad, but if the Jenkins deal doesn't happen theres no way we go offense with that first pick.

Nick, I think it is smoke. I think the front office is putting out misinformation just like they normally do. Besides, since a punt returner / KO specialist is such a crap shoot, wouldn't we be better served possibly wasting a later round pick for this, like maybe Steve Breaston from Michigan? How is he showing up on your board? I think last I heard he was some where around th third round.

    Steve Breaston:

Third would be too high. I've got him in the mid second day at this point. But I agree, I'd feel better addressing the fourth WR and kick return specialist in a later round.
