    Orton on waivers

Anyone else think McDaniels is running around the front office today begging everybody to claim Orton... even if it's just for the rest of the year.

And would it be that bad of an idea to claim him, start him and have him help transition Bradford into the McDaniels way?

    Re: Orton on waivers

Don't know Ortons contract, but claiming him could be expensive. However I think the Rams should give him a look if he isn't claimed. As a QB in McDaniels system for 2 years he could be a more suited mentor for Bradford then Feeley is.
I don't see us signing him to play though. Bradford got more upside and we can't make the playoffs this year - with either of them.

    Re: Orton on waivers

We may wish to consider him during the off-season after dumping AJ Feely who was brought in for his familiarity with the West Coast offense, which we no longer run. He could offer a solid back-up to Bradford because of his knowledge of McDaniel's system. We cannot afford him right now anyway.

    Go Rams!

I see Orton going to the Bears. They need a QB and he used to be on the team, so he should be familiar with the offense.
