Nicks has had problems, but he's nowhere close to Lawrence Phillips territory, and he's a heck of a player (of course, Phillips was a tremendous player)
Lots is being made of his not being "allowed" to participate in NU's pro day, with the coaching uproar in Lincoln it's hard to know what to make of that, it appears an awful lot's being made of one or two mistakes. I'm all for taking character guys, but I'm also for having talented football players on our roster, and sometimes taking a guy who's made a mistake and giving him a chance earns you some appreciation and all the more effort to stay out of trouble. I sure saw Nicks dominate some very good defenders.
