Our Draft Position improves every week !

Looks like we are going to have a top ten pick.
People want to give credit here and there for Cincinnati, but in truth it was all those early draft picks that are on their roster that spawned that turn-around.

Take Carson Palmer away and what do you have?

Touché. But regardless of results, I believe there will be at least ten teams who will rank ahead of us in the draft order. That said, we are up three slots from last weekend, and could continue to move up if we play the rest of our games like we have the last two weeks.

You're right. Arizona is one team we can move ahead of easily.. I think we win the tiebreaker with them (in regards to draft position).

I'm pretty sure the first determination is strength of schedule, so we'd have to wait until everything plays out to see about potential tiebreakers.

Who will be here to make that pick ? Got to take advantage of the picks this year, if picking early. Will Shaw pull the trigger early and get, "The Guy", to lead this team ? Free agency plays a major part for the 2006 squad, and he'll want to bring in his players here as well.

I think we'll do pretty well with strength of schedule.

I guess this was at the start of the season - look way down there.

Kind of a dubious honor, don't you think?? Oh well, if we must rebuild the defense then this may be a good way to do so...

In comparing Arizona's schedule and ours they are ALMOST the same. The only differences I see are:

We played Minnesota (8-5) and New Orleans (3-9)

Arizona played Carolina (9-4) and DET (4-8)

So, as of TODAY we would win the Strength (ours is weaker) tiebreaker to get better draft position. Of course Arizona needs to win ONE more than we do from here on out.

Right now we have 5 wins..

Last year (at season's end) 5 wins got you the 4th to 6th pick in the draft.

That's pretty damn good draft position.

At this point the thing that would make the Rams draft situation optimal would be if Quinn and Young come out. That would push non-QB players down toward the Rams.
