People, the Rams draft board hasn't changed
If everyone thinks we are drafting OT just because the Rams dropped Pace.....quit it. The new Rams staff did not have Pace or Holt in their plans as what I have read and heard. What happened to Pace did not change at all what the Rams have planned for draft day.
1. Curry is still the same caliber player and high on the Rams board.
2. First round picks aren't necessarily taken for need, much to what we as fans believe.
3. Crabtree is still up there too. Nothing has changed the Rams mind.

Re: People, the Rams draft board hasn't changed
The rams draft board may not have changed, which would be because we already had the offensive tackles (or at least one of them) ahead of curry. I really hope that is a correct statement. If we are taking an offensive tackle just because he is the best offensive tackle available for the sake of saving cap dollars by cutting pace while believing that curry is a better overall player, that would be a tragic error in my view.
Lets put this another way. Are we not basically locked into starting a rookie offensive tackle or a free agent? Does anyone believe greco will be a starting tackle for us? Can we get a cheap free agent offensive tackle who is comparable to pace for less money? That leads me to believe that one way or another, our hand is a bit forced in the draft. The rams long term need at offensive tackle has not changed, but on a short term basis, it certainly has become a bigger need.

one starting calibre OT that springs to mind is Khalif Barnes..i dont know if he`s still available but dont recall him having signed with anyone else..
i agree with everything Tx has said..
we dont have to go OT with the 2nd overall..there are many other rounds to the draft and i got a feeling we gonna try and trade back into the late 1st should we not take an OT with the 2nd overall and the OT`s start to fall off the board to the extent that a good prospect doesnt look like being available with the 34th pick.
like has been pointed out elsewhere, you dont need elite 1st round prospect picked OT`s with a Run orientated offense and i`ll add that tho OP was a special talent he wasnt the greatest of Run blocking OT`s,his pass blocking was what he made his name at..

Re: People, the Rams draft board hasn't changed
Curry is the BPA and I will be disapointed if we go OT with #2. The OL is an urgent need but the draft is deep at OT this year. We can have it all if these prospects are scouted and coached well.
