Pick which mock you like better?

I could never come up with all the different combinations that people would like so I am sure there are things that none of these mocks would be 100% the way anyone would like it. However as I keep a mock draft daily and keep changing it there is certain players that I like in certain positions where we draft. So with that said you will see certain players repeated over in these mocks. I have a hard time from day to day sticking with the same mock because we have no real desperate needs and could go multiple directions. I dont know that he will last but I really like Brian Schwenke in the 4th and Michael Williams in the 7th. I think Williams is the least likely of the bunch to be there so I also added Roger Gaines who is a big strong OT who has potential to develop into a decent RT. He is really raw at this point. Anyway this is not about critiquing each pick as much as it is picking the mock that you like if things fell this way.

    Draft 1:
    1 (16) Chance Warmack OG 6'2 325
    1 (22) Keenan Allen WR 6'3 205

    Draft 7:
    1 (16) Cordarrelle Patterson WR 6'3 210 4.42 40
    1 (22) Alec Ogletree OLB 6'3 235
    2 Eric Reed FS 6'2 215
    3 Le'Veon Bell RB 6'2 230

    7 Michael Williams TE 6'6 280 OR Roger Gaines OT 6'6 335 28 bench 36.28 arms

I realize none of these may be what anyone prefers. I just want to see different opinions on which draft people think helps the team the most.

My rankings of the 7 drafts:
(Draft 2 and 4 are the same btw)
    1. Draft 3 (by far the best, we get 4 surefire starters that I personally like)
    2. Draft 1
    3. Draft 6
    4. Draft 2/4
    5. Draft 7
    6. Draft 5

Thanks for the feedback. I like others opinions and am more undecided this year then in any years past. I changed mock 4 to be different since you pointed out it was the same. Thanks

Re: Pick which mock you like better?

With Saffold looking more and more like he wants out, I'll take either mock 2 or mock4. The ones with the playmakers at 16 and the eventual RT.

The NFL average for rookie starter for opening day is a little over 35. It would be very unlikely that the Rams get 4 starters in a draft. Last years draft the Rams IMHO opinion did a great job but did not come close to having 4 opening day starters and I suspect they may get 2 but anymore will only be icing on the cake.

    Go Rams

I think draft 3 is unrealistic btw, because I don't think Lacy will be there at 2. If Lattimore was inserted there instead I could see it happening.

But if that mock actually did happen, I don't see how those 4 wouldn't all be starters on opening day

The 2013 draft dont have a lot of elite talent IMO but it is very deep. There are several guys in the third round that could be starters this year. With our FS needs I can see Rambo (pick 78 over all) starting day 1. The other three top 50 picks in the draft 16, 22, and 46 I can see all of them starting as well. We dont have any starters on our team at WR and RB that you can say for sure are better then Allen and Lacy. Jarvis Jones as the first pick should be the starting LB we have no one there.

I think we will take a LB and S in the first half of this draft and because we have very little for them to compete against. We have only three WRs so I can see a rookie earning a starting position. At RB Lacy would not be comepting against Jackson he would be competing against three second year RBs.

Last year we had four rookies starting. Five if you count that it looked like Rok won the job prior to injury:
    Brockers
    Jenkins
    Zuerlein
    Rok
    Hekker (UDFA)

Rok Watkins looked like he was going to win the LG spot as out of camp before being hurt.

We had these two that could have been starters if Jackson and Amendola who are both now gone were not around.
    Givens
    Richardson

Trumaine Johnson also won the NB job.

Out of those options, probably #2.

It would have been #1, had it been a safety in R2 and a running back in R4.

I picked #1 but if there was a vote each day it would likely not be the same. I like what you said about the #1 mock and my choices in that instance would have been the following which IMO is even better. At least thats what I am thinking at this very moment.

    1 (16) Chance Warmack OG 6'2 325
    1 (22) Keenan Allen WR 6'3 205
    2 Eric Reed FS 6'2 215
    3 Sio Moore OLB 6'1 245 29 Bench
    4 Christine Michael RB 5'10 220
    5 Josh Boyce WR 5'11 210 4.38 40
    6 Terry Hawthorne CB 6'0 195 4.44 40
    7 Michael Williams TE 6'6 280 OR Roger Gaines OT 6'6 335 28 bench 36.28 arms

I believe Brockers was injured did not start opening day.

The kickers are special team players do not believe they count as starters but I do see your point.

So that leaves Jenkins who was opening day starter for the Rams.

I voted for 4 we get more of my fave's in this one would like to exchange the 4th round back CM for Jon Franklin then I would be extatic with this draft. Takes care of most all we need with many of my first choices in those categories! Also we could have an eye on Tyrann Matheiu as he would be a nice 4th or 5th round pick up if teams are passing him over... hope we can get a draft like this and trade back on the 22nd pick to get an extra 3rd or 4th that would be ideal.

Re: Pick which mock you like better?

    I picked draft #2.
The first five players could possibly be starters right away.
1 Slot receiver is open. Loss of D.A.
2 Could start at either Guard positions. Left guard is open. D.J Fluker could be a all pro guard in the NFL. I'm not sure at right tackle. What I've read is he has heavy feet or slow footed.
3 The free safety position is open. Rams lost both starting safeties from last year.
4 Rams have been trying to fill the strong side backer position for a long time.
5 Scott Wells injury history & future cap space. Brian Schwenke takes his place and saves money.
The rest of the picks are good insurance.

My second choice would be #4 then #7. Hard choices to make.
